What is wrong with the Cleveland Indians?

Oh calm down you southerners. This Indians team is planning on turning this season around, starting with this road trip. only There's room for 1 premiere baseball team in this wonderful state and starting May 22nd, you'll see that honor still belongs to the WAHOO'S!!!!!

Your're right...room for only one, so let's go with the first one, and the one with the most WS Championships!!!...:p

Indians @ Rays: Win # 14

2 in a Row!!!

Going into the game with Carmona and Shields on the mound, you would've been certain it would be a pitchers dual. Well, it kinda was until the 4th and 5th innings.

Led by our #2, #3 and #4 hitters who went a combined 12 for 15, The Indians won in a route, 11-7 over the Rays at ugly Tropicana Field.

Also of note, V-Mart raised his league leading batting average to .400. Victor had 4 hits, 4 RBI and 2 Runs scored. Now if we can only get Grady Sizemore to snap out of his slump and for Pronk to come back healthy off the DL, this lineup will out hit a ton of opposing teams.

Go Indians.

Tonight, Jose Reyes will battle Scott Kazmir

Anthony Reyes vs. Kazmir (I wish Jose was playing SS for us).

I'm excited. We're only 4.5 games out and riding a 2 game winning streak. It's amazing what a couple of wins can do for the psyche! :)

KCK, you gotta fast forward the DVR to the top of the 3rd inning for the Indians/Rays game (if your recording). DeRo got robbed at a call at the plate! He clearly slid and touched home plate before the catcher was able to put on the tag. Coach, Eric Wedge came to DeRo's defense and let the ump here it. So much so that Wedgie got tossed.

Tribe up 5-0 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Actually saw it happen live, HD. Bad call. Not as bad as all the runs your boys have given up the past two games after substantial leads! This is sickening.

Loss #23, "Bringing a Gas-Can to the Pitcher's Mound Style"....

The Indians were up 7-0 on the Rays. Wedgie was ejected for standing up for one of his guys who had a wrong call against him at the plate. This team was jacked. We were seaking our first 3 game win streak of the season. This was great...

Not so fast. No lead is a big enough lead for our miserable, God-awful, putrid, stinky, stomach churning group of flamers we call our "bullpen". I should've known better. A herd of cows could've preserved this lead! What the F*!!!!

Oh btw, welcome to the team Luis Vizcaino! You idiot!!! Our latest acquisition was called upon in the bottom of the 9th to try and maintain a 7-7 tie. Vizcaino didn't exactly create a good impression on his new teammates as he gave up a walk-off homer to BJ Upton. Way to go Luis, you loser! No wonder the Cubs dropped you in the middle of the season!

Oh btw, Wedgie tore into his bullpen following the game. This was VERY unlike Wedgie. He's normally even-kiel and never bad mouths his players in public. I smell panic and frustration....

"When you score seven runs, you should be up at home plate, tension free," said Wedge. "Our guys aren't tension free because the know they have to score more runs. That's ridiculous at this level.

"Our hitters should be able to overcome that, but if you're talking about mutual responsibility, you're staring it straight in the face. I respect the hell out of these position players. You can only get kicked in the face so many times.

"Our guys keep getting up because that's what they do. But those guys on the mound have to start holding up their end of the bargain."

"We've got to pitch," said Wedge. "Hell, it was 9-0 Thursday, and we barely won. Tonight, we're up 7-0 and lose the ballgame.

"At some point in time, these guys have to look in the mirror. It's not their stuff. Their stuff is fine. But they've got to concentrate and pitch to spots. You can't miss by a foot-and-a-half when you're trying to throw the baseball..... It's ridiculous!"
Wedge was particularly upset with Jenson Lewis, whose wild pitch in the seventh made it 7-6.
"I'm tired of watching him throw," said Wedge.

I feel your pain HD....since the Marlins 11-1 start...there CANNOT BE a team any worse than the Marlins, going 6-18 since..... SIX and freakin' EIGHTEEN!!!!! I ASSURE YOU that if it weren't for that 11-1 start, the would have THE WORST record in the Majors right now. I have a strange feeling that the Mr. Nice Guy image that Freddi Gonzalez has been portraying will either need to be changed, or they will change HIM....

Are you kidding ump!? This blind ump just called a pitch that was WAY outside a strike 3 on Kelly Shoppach. So much for a rally.

3-2. Rays leading the Injuns in the bottom of the 8th.

I was just coming on here to post the same thing.

That was a good YARD outside, and Shoppach was half way to first.

Time to invest in some glasses ump!

Loss #24

4-2 Rays over Tribe. Pitching was decent today, but our offense was no where to be found. Go figure.

I'm starting to get tired of this. :(

Maybe I should just change the "AL Central" back to the "Tiger's 2009", since the Tribe fans have their own thread. Doesn't seem to be any participation from any other teams besides the Tiger's fans there anymore.

I'll still comment in there Paul. I just felt I needed my own room to vent to. I didn't want to burden the Division Leading Tiger fans with my complaining and non stop blabber. :)
