Don't speak too soon my friend. We take no lead for granted. Unless Cliffy pitches a complete game, we will have to go to the bullpen sooner or later. (BTW, how bout my Boy V-Mart?! 3 for 3!!! Plus, Matt LaPorta got a hit today too!)
Nothing like a crappy bullpen to keep a game interesting. We know all about that from last season here in Detroit.
And that bug has crept out West like them damned October minnies or whatever come off the Lake into The Jake and right into the Angels' pen. I did not see it live last night but I almost lost my breakfast watching the replay this morning. Not pretty at all!!!
They were called "midges". And I was there live for that game. It was hands down, one of the most entertaining spectacles I've ever seen in person. Funny how the midges only seemed to effect the Stinkees and not the Indians.

Yeah, they did seem to get worse, the more they sprayed.
And I thought so too, as for our WS destination that year.
I can still remember celebrating in the streets of Cleveland after Game 4 of the ALCS when the Tribe was up 3-1 on the Red Sox. (I know for a fact, we would've beaten the Rockies that year too). The rest is as they say.... HISTORY.

Good to see Cliffy finally get another long deserved win. He pitched 7 strong innings of ZERO run ball. Since Cliffy's first 2 awful starts of the season where he gave up 11 earned runs in 10 innings, Cliff has lowered his ERA to a respectable 3.00 ERA.
Good to see him back in Cy Young form.
Now, we travel to Tampa for the start of a 10-game road trip. If ever there was a time to "get away", now's the time. Clear your heads boys. Let's wright this ship!

Oh calm down you southerners. This Indians team is planning on turning this season around, starting with this road trip. There's only room for 1 premiere baseball team in this wonderful state and starting May 22nd, you'll see that honor still belongs to the WAHOO'S!!!!!

From 1995-today, 7 division titles, 2 AL Pennants, and 7 playoff trips.
OTOH, the Reds haven't made the playoffs in 14 years and have only come close in 1999 and 2006.
