Video Game Deals

I really enjoyed AC4 even though the other games in the series didn't grab me. AC4 is the first game in the series I ever finished. I was very close to pulling the trigger on AC3 after reading your post. At $5 it's a pretty good deal. Then I thought about it for a second and came to the conclusion that I would likely never play this game.

The chart you posted a couple weeks ago about how few people complete games on Steam made me question my habit of buying just about anything with a decent review score if the price is right. I'm trying to change that behavior. Now I ask myself If I will ever actually play these games before pulling the trigger. If the answer isn't yes, or at least probably, I'm not buying unless it's practically free. PC deals are often great but if you aren't actually going to play the game it doesn't matter how great the deal is. You are still wasting money.

I'm sure I could get my $5 worth out of AC3 but I just have to many games to play to waste time and money on something I'm only slightly interested in. This is especially true with an annual release franchise like Assassin's Creed. By the time I get through my priority games and even think about launching AC3 the release for this year will be out and available to rent on my PS4.
If I could help make your "NO" easier, AC3 seems to be generally accepted as the worst of the series. I never played it and don't feel like I missed much. Yahtzee sure as hell didn't like it.

On another topic, apparently to announce the release of Episode 3, The Wolf Among Us Season Pass is 40% off on Steam. Getting closer for me to jump on but I'm not doing it until we get down to 50%. Also the fact that we still have 2 episodes to go isn't helping.

I'm a huge fan of the Ezio AC games, even Revelations, but there was nothing about ACIII that appealed to me. It was free for Plus members in the EU last September, so I keep expecting it to be offered free for NA Plus members at some point. But even if it is, I may give it a pass.

Bunch of Xbox 360 games on sale on the XBLM. See link here. Saints Row 4 is $15, the GOOD Batman Arkham games are $5, and a bunch of others. Worth a look.

Saint's Row 4 is also $13.59 on Steam until Friday.

They are having a sale deal on some of the Lego games this week too. The ones they are offering are $5 each. I already owned Lego Marvel and Lego Lord of the Rings but I picked up Lego Batman 2 with this sale.
