Video Game Deals

I wasn't even aware SO had a SP. Maybe I'll fire that up again someday and actually try to enjoy some of the side missions.

GoG is having a Star Wars sale in honor of the Fourth of May (May the Fourth be With You.) You can also expect other retailers, especially Steam to have similar deals soon as well.

Update: Okay basically EVERY store is having their Star Wars sales right now, so Steam, PSN, XBLM, GoG, etc all have them. Enjoy.

Devolver is having a big sale on Steam this weekend. I've only played a couple hours of it so far but I recommend picking up Ronin for $3.24. It's pretty cool.

Edit: Also, Hotline Miami 2 is only $5. I haven't beaten the first one yet but that is the lowest price I have seen for that game so far.

Edit 2: And Downwell for $1.49. Really there are quite a few games worth picking up.

.
You misread that. Hotline Miami 2 AND 1 are $5 as part of a combo deal. To get 2 separate it's $3.74.

But yes good deals. Honestly Downwell at $3 is more than worth it given the replay value you can get off that.

If you sign up with the Humble Monthly Bundle, you can get a copy of Rocket League immediately. If it's your first month that month only costs $10.80.

As a Humble Monthly subscriber you also get an extra 10% off games in the Humble Store. Just something to keep in mind while they are having their Spring sale. If you want to read about the games I just got in my first month as a subscriber check out this post.

Capcom has so many games that have been re-released/remastered/rebooted that they have a HD Remix Humble Bundle. Some of these games don't really seem to fit the theme (Remember Me) and some of them only had one version on PC but a remaster on console (Resident Evil 6) but it's still a pretty decent bundle if you don't already own these games. I got most of them during the last Capcom Humble Bundle.

The Metro Redux bundle is on sale for $7.49. This is the remastered version of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light. If you like story driven FPS games you really need to buy this. I'm about half way through Metro 2033 Spartan playthrough right now and it's one of the more atmospheric shooters I have played.

The Redux version has to multiple modes that make it worth playing more than once too. The survival mode is what the original version of Metro 2033 was. Ammo and filters are scarce and the game plays more like survival horror. The spartan mode applies the Last Light play style that provides more ammo and filters to make a more action focused experience. Then there is the ranger mode where resources are even more scarce and it takes a more realistic amount of damage to kill both you and the enemies.

All of these modes are available in both games. It's a really nice package for $7.49.
