Seems odd they would get rid of broad-appeal stuff like Family Room and HaHa.

Kinda funny that CableWorld just published that article that bascially said they would keep the same names and formats.

But Walt, don't you know that ALL digital channels broadcast HD and ALL networks broadcast digitally EVERYWHERE?

They keep telling me, and I keep adjusting my 10 foot outdoor antenna, but I can't get any HD. Must be my fault.

(Even if they put up the other distant nets, I don't qualify for them. Thanks Congress! )

If it IS "Gameplay", it looks like we are losing another movie channel. An all-sports/games movie channel seems like an extremely limited niche.

The source is the channel names and EPG guide info, which are just data streams on the satellite. Also Sean posted some old voom / new voom comparisons a few msgs up.

I cant see those channels.. what i can see is the channel names.. I cant tell whats on them as theres no epg info on them yet.. Has anyone thought of the idea that gameplay hd might be like g4 with video games in hd (after all the new xbox is in hd) maybe a game dedicated to the gaming industry that shows gameplay in hd. ??? just an indea?

I know... but the channel name does not have to go with what the channel represents.

btw, CODA = The concluding passage of a movement or composition.
A conclusion or closing part of a statement. A musical channel, perhaps...??? Guessing games are so good.
