IF YOUR RECIEVER SUPPORTS 8PSK IT SUPPORTS 8PSK-TURBO. WHATEVER YOU WANNA F'ING CALL IT. Whoever started this thing where somehow 8psk and 8psk-turbo was something different!?!?!?!
Again, goto the echostar knowledge base, look at the reciever comparisions, at the bottom it lists which ones are "8psk enabled".

ESPN2-HD is 129 uplinked and active..

From my reading 8psk & 8psk Turbo are different.
Also, Scott just posted in the 942 release notes one of the upgrades was 8psk Turbo. http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=111345
Anyway, I think it's time to implement my plan. A new Dish 1000 for the two HD sets, and keep the two SD sets on the Dish 500. Cheaper than getting the DPP44, and the SD sets don't need 129 (yet).
New software spooling for the 6000 receivers:

Effective Thursday, November 17th, Engineering plans to spool the FULL PHASE of software version 8.29P for the 6000 receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.
At this time 8.29P will be the valid software version for the 6000."

So, it looks like VOOM is rebranding channels again...I can't translate about half of these...
WSPOR= WorldSport HD
TRESR= Treasure HD (I thought they changed the name to Auction HD?)
KNGFU= Kung Fu HD

CODA=?

I can't make any of those names into Divine, Family Room, FilmFest, HaHa, Gunslingers, or Vice. It also seems odd that the channel numbers skip over 9490 and 9491.
If the CBS channels were moved from 9483-9484 and VOOM was allowed to run 21 channels straight through, it would run 9470-9490. Presumably, CBS will get moved eventually to be next to other potential distant HD networks. Maybe VOOM plans to grow to 25 channels?
OR, maybe 9492/93/94 aren't VOOM channels at all. GAMEP could be ESPN Gameplan. Seems like too much of a coincidence- uplinking exactly 11 channels near the other VOOM channels.
So what do you think these other channels could be?
Torque HD- Action Movies?
Coda HD- Musicals? (Or maybe just the ends of movies
)Cosmic HD- SciFi? Seems like they've been running more scifi on Monsters lately.

what were the numbers for those west hd distants that are on 129, if they line up I guess that makes sense.
Also they should probably be removing cbs from it's current channel placement since it breaks up the voom as others have said

Reference 6000 software upgrade: Last night I was talking with Dish Tech Support trying to get any additional info on what HD would be on 129, since I am in the process of upgrading to Dish1000. Got no answers (surprise???), but was "reminded" to leave my 6000 in a standby mode. Now I am thinking she was trying to help me without busting company silence rules. Just a thought. 
Just wondering. If it's possible that they can't put ESPN2-HD on 61.5 untill the Rainbow sale is final ("the closing"), maybe they'll launch 1, 2 or all 3 remaining east coast nets in HD on 61.5 to sort of compensate for ESPN2-HD being only on 129. Everybody gets something until they can work the rest out. Just a thought.

I noticed the voom on 61.5 is up in QPSK as well. Different FEC rate though, 3/4 instead of 5/6.. Trying to squeeze a little more bandwidth outta those qpsk transponders hehe.

(though in retrospect, $100 for 11+ hd channels in one day is a hell of a deal)
