Upgrading to Genie and Losing Recorded Programs on DVRs being deleted

I am upgrading to a Genie next week and will be losing many recorded programs
from my present DVRs. When I looked at the specs for the Genie is says "Catch
up on past episodes, as far back as 5 weeks" is a feature.

Can someone explain how this feature works? Will I be able to record all of
my "lost" recordings if they were recorded within the last 5 weeks?

I'm pretty sure it is a one touch access to the download on demand library.. the episodes would have to be there in order for the genie to download them.

its depends on what kinda programs your talking about

keep your old dvrs until you watch whats on them, just add the genie, its only $6 a month

If you have an HDDVR now you can always keep it in the system.
