Tigers vs Cardinals in world series

I'm attending today's game. Sure hope the Tiger's bats wake up. Couldn't believe Friday's game slipped through their bats. Sure seems like they are wasting some outstanding pitching lately.

That was an AWESOME game today!! I was happy to see the Rangers come back from a 6-0 deficit to win.

Awesome stadium, awful game. By the way, stay away from the frozen daquiri's. Killer on the stomach and the head. Also , great food. Stadium is a first rate experience all the way around.

Well I think it is time for the Tigers to right the misdirected ship (of late), they need to play this series like it is the playoffs...
White Sox think they can do no wrong against the Tigers and it should be an easy series for them, lets hope the Tigers prove them wrong.

I think the REAL Justin Verlander "just Stood Up" ....

Looks like he has his groove back.
7 innings, 5 hits, 1 run...

Now if we can get anything out of Kenny Rogers the rest of the way

Actually if you recheck Roger's line score of late, he has been pitching well. It's the rest of the team that has let him down. A split in this series will do just fine, 3 out or 4 would be better, a sweep could bury the Sox from the title. The team with the best pitching will prevail in the long run, and we all know who that is.

Nice being able to watch in HD on ch95 on directv last night. Anybody else finding their nights and tv viewing being over run by Tiger games. I haven't watched this much baseball in years. It's amusing to hear how the baseball "haters" don't find baseball to be boring anymore. I just tell them baseball isn't boring, losing baseball teams are boring.

Yes it is incredible, I can watch the TIGERS in HD without the mpeg4 set up, on channel 95, I missed last night, saw the game in SD., didn't know it was on.
Normally when I turn a Tigers game on that should be in HD, it says I don't get that channel.....
Now lets hope they play well.....

Well I guess they answered my thought about playing well, Kenny Rogers pitched well again giving up only 4 hits in 7 innings and Rodney did the rest in a 4-0 victory.
I can only hope the Tigers are on 95 again some day, it looked great, what a difference after seeing SD all year long.
I wonder if MLB decides which games are to be shown on D* in HD , or just who makes that call.

All this time, I thought it was the Yankee Network !!!!

Nice back to back wins over the White Stockings. I'm glad to see the Tige's back on the winning track...was getting a little nervous after blowing a 6-0 lead agains Texas the other day.

Man, the Yankee's are looking awesome these days.

I thought I read somewhere that this whole series is on ch95. Don't Quote me on this. Two more wins and we can bury these guys.
I se it is listed as being on 95 again tonight, so it looks like you are right. that is good because it is also on ESPN2 tonight, which will probably be blacked out for me.

Don't worry, when the playoffs come and if we play the Yankees or anyone else for that matter....
Great PITCHING beats Great hitting ALL THE TIME.
Look at teh Yanks and Arizona a few years back, and what the White Sox pitching did in the last playoffs.

It was on Channel 95 in HD since Sunday. I do not believe that today's afternoon game is on though. Directv must be picking different RSN HD channels to put on those spot beams. I am glad that they chose the White Sox Games for the Tigers!

It's nice that they are doing that ... instead of yankees only network... They could have picked up last weeks Tigers / Twins series, but I don't want to complain seeing this is the first I've seen them in HD ....
Todays game stunk, I guess it's just to remind you NO ONE wins them all.

I said it before, and I will say it again. Nate Robertson is not good in a starting rotation. Once his cage is rattled, he shows he is untamed. :(
Yes I heard you , BUT I cannot do anything about him being in the rotation...
Sorry, I also would not be suprised to see Zack Minor go back down when Mike Maroth comes back up, He has one more start here in Toledo on Friday then he will probably be back in Detroit.

I agree! :up

I will welcome Maroth back with open arms. Now that everyone is seeing Miner for the second time they're lighting him up. Still like our position. Five and half up with five weeks to go.

Once we get out of brutal August, we should be better, still a lot of good teams in September, LA Angels, Texas and another series with the Chi Sox, but we also have series with Baltimore and 2 with KC left at the end.

I see the Yankees and Tigers will be on ESPN next week, and of course ESPN will be blacked out here, hopefully it will be picked up by D* and on 95 where I may be able to see it...
Unfortunatly MLB doesn't open up a channel if it's sold out.
