sorry for all the q's.

Sorry,
You will need the new mpeg4 receiver in order to get the Tigers in HD.
That said, your HR10-250 will NOT pick up this signal.:(

so as far as baseball in hd for hr10-250 its ch. 95 yankees or espnhd or espn2hd?
that is about it, until the playoffs come, then it will be on network, at least some of it, they seem to change where the playoffs are every year...

Timm, no reason to worry yet, just the normal ebb and flow of a long season. This losing streak matches an earlier one of four games. Every team hits the wall at some point, better now then in October. GO TIGERS.

Hmmmmmm......

Another loss.
Anyone getting scared?
Scared ??? NO !!!

But Iwould be a lot happier if they could beat the stinkin White Sox... They've been trying to get the idea that they can't beat them all year and they do well last week in Detroit then can't do anything right this time around ......
It just seemed like everything went against them this time.....

I am now expecting to here the national public spouting off again about not being able to beat any one good ... (NY, BoSox, ChiSox ect.)

Bounce back

I was wanting to see HOW the Tigers would bounce back after getting swept by the ChiSox ....
So far , so good.
This has been a very good series so far.
Very much a playoff atmosphere ...:)

Unfortunatly, the Tigers lost Placido Polanco : ( to a seperated shoulder after making a great play diving for a ball into the outfield).
Probably out for the rest of the year. He played a solid 2nd base and was 2nd in the league with runners in scoring position.

I think they will be fine with Omar Infante taking over once he gets comfortable.

Outside of the injury, the pitching matchup was as good as you could ever hope for..
Both Schilling and Bonderman pitched great. Schilling got out of several cretical jams , Bonderman came out with what the Tigers hope is the normal for him now, he has become a very reliable # 1 or 2 starter.

Do you know what's dumber than being picked off first by a right hander? Being picked off first by a right fielder. Felt bad for Bonderman having to watch the bullpen give away another W for him. I understand what Leyland was trying to do when he brought in Ledezma, but Bonderman was on his game, and had Papi's number all night. Personally I would have left him in. But then if I knew what the hell I was talking about ...

Baseball in HD on Fox looks horrible. I pick it up over the air, and honestly it looks like it is SD, zoomed it. Does anyone else see this?

Could be interesting tonight. Verlander throws very hard. The Chi-Sox showed what a team with good bats do against a hard throwing pitcher. The power batters just have to make decent contact, and it could be out of the Park. I just hope Justin comes with some good accuracy on his breaking pitches.

Tonight's game is on ESPN so I will probably be blacked out :(
I guess I will check at 7 and find out, but I am not expecting it to be available to me.

Walks are always the kiss of death. Kind of seen this coming for Verlander. He's been throwing high in the zone the last few starts, it was just a matter of time till he hit a team with some strike zone patience.

Ya , I've noticed that too, I would expect the pitching coach (I can't remember his name) will have him work on some adjustments...

I know earlier in the year he was pitching much quicker, looks like his mechanics are off just a bit. He's got a good coach, I am sure he will straighten him out.
There was speculation (once again) that the Sox were stealing signs from center feild again, I don't know if there's anything to that, but it seems they hit him pretty hard, after he had their number last time in Detroit.
