Why do you care what Tom Watson says about Tiger Woods? Watson is a golfing legend and has every right (and perhaps a duty to the profession) to publicly express his opinion. I think you may have a "man crush" going on with Tiger Woods...not that there's anything wrong with it! If not, why use examples involving Woods' zipper...his peeing...and his farting? Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Anyway, I agree with everything Tom Watson mentioned...because he was correct.

ANd WHERE was Tom Watson bravado when Tiger was kicking everyones ass on the course?! NO WHERE TO BE FOUND.

EVERYONE knows he has to patch things up with his wife, his sponsors, his fans and the PGA. Why not let this die down...let him DO what he needs to do and leave it alone. By the way EVERYONE is acting.....you could SWEAR he is the ONLY professional athlete that has EVER sworn on the course or cheated on his wife.
Tiger Woods' PERSONAL life is none of anyone's business....INCLUDING the legendary Tom Watson. This is a bunch golfers that are a jealous and piling on when a man is down.

....IF Tiger was not kicking everyone's ass on the course, NO ONE would give a ratz ass. NOBODY.....

I used the examples as you above....because NOW...more than ever, if he sneezes and he did not cover his nose to anyone's liking.....it is an issue.

I have no man crush...this is about the respect of letting the man handle his personal affairs. JUST because you are either a professional athlete OR a celebrity.....it does not give everyone a right into THEIR personal, PRIVATE affairs.

I know no one IN HERE would like people peeking into their bedroom...why should you peek into theirs....?!:mad::rolleyes:

If he wants to get past this, the best thing he can do is get back into golfing ASAP.
Until he settles his family affairs - for good and publicly - he shouldn't play.
After this is done following your advice would be smart.
Having a shrink on staff would be a must.

Diogen.

With all we know now...comments like this are just offensive and seriously the wrong analogy to use...

Tiger Woods has a wife and kids who are devastated because Daddy could not keep his pants zipped.

Sandra

I don't know about you ....but last time I checked...you need to unzip your pants to use the bathroom.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Does this mean now that everytime someone uses the phrase "unzip his pants" or anything of the sort...it is implying sex? Really? It has come to THIS now?

If he wants to get past this, the best thing he can do is get back into golfing ASAP. The sooner he does, the sooner the questions can pass and he can get "back to normal". The longer he delays getting back to golf, the longer he will post-pone the inevitable chat sure to follow him on his first few tournaments.

I agree 100%. Rumor has it, he might comeback in Miami at the Doral or in Palm Beach at the Honda Classic.

Tom Watson has always been around...and has done an excellent job serving gold as an elder statesman.

Tiger Woods' PERSONAL life is none of anyone's business....INCLUDING the legendary Tom Watson. This is a bunch golfers that are a jealous and piling on when a man is down.
The problem with your statement is that Woods (and others for that matter) is gainfully employed (earning millions) being a public figure and selling his image to the public. Think about it...Tiger drives a Bruick, so the average Joe wants a Buick so he can be more like Tiger (or his so-called image); Tiger wears Nike golf shoes...swings a certain brand club...uses a certain credit card, eats a certain cereal...uses a particular investment company....why?...so he can schlock more of these products by selling his public image. While golf clubs and apparent are endorsed largely because of Mr. Woods accomplishments on the course, the majority of his income comes from endorsing products and attaching his image to them. Seriously, what does an automobile or investment banking have to do with golf? Absolutely nothing! Consumers are paying Mr. Woods directly or indirectly for his wholesome image.

....IF Tiger was not kicking everyone's ass on the course, NO ONE would give a ratz ass. NOBODY.....

I agree...and the press and public generally respected his private family life until he went PUBLIC with his extramarital affairs. Besides, the day he placed a price-tag on his wholesome image is the day he waived any claim to privacy - it was bought and sold. Additionally, Woods could have avoided this entire mess by simply living his life according to the good "family man" image he sold to the public. I really don't follow this story, but I am not going to defend Tiger's right to privacy (which he sold by the way). There is no one to blame for Tiger's woes but Tiger. He betrayed the trust of the American public and he must now deal with the fallout.

Well Tiger Woods is an admitted sex addict...remember? ;)

Sandra

Yes he HAS addmited he is a sex addict....that STILL does not change the fact that you STILL need to unzip your pants to use the bathroom with MOST pants that you wear..... you do remember do you?!

...do you plan to associate ANYTHING that COULD have a double meaning with sex when it comes to Tiger Woods? Because THAT is where it seems like where you are going....

Let's see.....let's hit these statements one at a time.

Tom Watson has always been around...and has done an excellent job serving gold as an elder statesman.

YES, he has been quite the elder statesmen of the game of golf for quite some time. BUT, when Tiger was winning....and helping winnings at ALL tournaments 5 to 6 times MORE than when Mr. Watson was a young pup....his testicular fortitude was nowhere to be found. NOW that Tiger is being beat up by everyone, he is gonna chime in with HIS version of 'holier than thou' rant.....

Seriously, what does an automobile or investment banking have to do with golf? Absolutely nothing! Consumers are paying Mr. Woods directly or indirectly for his wholesome image.

OK....yes, he makes MOST of his money through products...but his TRUE job is playing professional golf. YES people buy his produts due to his image, but his image has NEVER been portrayed as "worlds greatest husband and father". Tell me, HOW MANY of his adds show him with his wife and kids??!! Please....feel free to find them. MOST if not ALL the images you have seen him with his wife have been PRIVATE pics taken of them....NOT to hock merchadise. People are not buying because he was SUPPOSED to be a great dad or a great husband....they were buying his stuff because they feel he is a winner....and why? Because he litterally destroys everyone on the golf course. NOT because he is this super cool dad and his wife is hot.

IF you asked ANYONE before this scandal...."hey...you think Tiger is awesome/great/cool because.........?" I ASSURE YOU that most....like in the upper 98% would say because he is a WINNER. NOT because he is a 'great dad and the best husband a woman can have.';)

I agree...and the press and public generally respected his private family life until he went PUBLIC with his extramarital affairs. IF I remember correctly, HE did not go public stating "I am a sex addicted"....it was REPORTED that he went and checked himself into a sex addict rehab center. He DID stated he made mistakes and that he was going to try to repair his family 1st and forement....but I HIGHLY doubt HE went public with this issue.

And finally, the ONLY person he betrayed was his wife, family and friends. NO ONE gave a sh** about his private life because they did not like him or dislike due to his private life. It was ALL due to golf. So the only folks he owes ANYTHING to is the folks I have underlined.

...do you plan to associate ANYTHING that COULD have a double meaning with sex when it comes to Tiger Woods? Because THAT is where it seems like where you are going....

If you're so worried about that, you better keep your ears closed when Woods gets back on the golf course...

The more correct statement is nobody knew much about his private life, because he kept it so guarded...even for a celebrity. Which is his right. Now we know WHY he kept it so guarded...

I'm going to watch Tiger Woods when he comes back because I want to see him fall off the wagon while he's on the Golf Course. No telling what might happen .

Just heard Nick Faldo on the radio. He measured his words well, but you can tell there was a lot of resentment over the behavior Tiger Woods used to get away with on the golf course. Faldo and Watson so far are the only ones who have had the golf balls to say it publicly, but you definitely get the feeling they're saying what a lot of golfers have been feeling.

And you also get the feeling they are looking forward to a new era when Tiger Woods is held as accountable as everyone else.

LMAO!!! You are a mind reader!!!!!!!!!:D:up

I am not worried about it at all. When Woods comes back....he will win and all of the dumb things said will be by the media. Fans will be much more forgiving.

NO ONE CARED about his private life. Golf fans didn't....Tiger fans didn't. I didn't...

Answer ONE question....did YOU care about his private life??

hmmm.....

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Jack Nicklaus said the fallout over Tiger Woods' car crash and allegations of extramarital affairs is "none of my business."

"Time usually heals all wounds. I think the hardest thing is obviously his family. That's a private matter for him and his family. ... He'll figure it out."
-- Jack Nicklaus

Jack Nicklaus wants to respect Tiger Woods' privacy - ESPN

And yet....the guy who is considered the greatest player EVER...states it quite clear....."THAT A PRIVATE FAMILY MATTER FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY....."

AND .....

"Corey Pavin goes on to claim that all the recent updates on the life of Tiger woods has done nothing to tarnish his view of the outstanding athlete. He is not the one to judge"
