Calling sex an addiction is like saying I'm addicted to the sun! Of course we all like the sun and are happy when it's out, but if we don't get it, we don't wither up and get sick like you would from a drug or alcohol withdrawal.

What I'm trying to say I guess is that in drugs/alcohol addiction there is a chemical substance that has adverse effects in your body that makes you "need" it to get by. In sex and sunshine there is nothing like that. It's just a matter of balancing want/desire and self control. Calling it an addiction is removing blame from yourself.
