Season 6, Episode 2 (note the starting time has been pushed back to 30-minutes due to football)

"Jane finds a significant clue about Red John's methods as the team encounters four suspects; a drone strike kills a software engineer."

Great episode last night. Lisbon is paid a visit by Ray Haffner while she's in the hospital. She is suspicious of his motives as he whistles the Gilligan's Isle theme song on his way out. Jane finds his therapists head (i.e., Dinner is in the over) and later pays a visit to Gale Bertram, after receiving a tip from Lisbon, who just happens to be meeting with Reede Smith and Tom McAllister. Of course, Jane interrupts the meeting to announce that Red John has made a major mistake and that he will discuss it Bertram at a later time. Obviously, the dialog between the three men lead us to believe they are 1) either involved with the Red John or, as I predicted last year, are part of the Red John organization that consists of more than one man - all of them in power positions or 2) the three are secretly investigating Red John (CBI, FBI and County) and are perhaps close to making an arrest and don't wish to be outdone by Jane.

If the former, then it would appear that Bertram, Smith and McAllister and at least one other are part of the Red John organization. If the later then it would appear, to me at least, that the dynamic duo or Stiles and his henchman Haffner are Red John. Of course, it could be none of the above.

Oh, we later learn that Red John is a good whistler and Jane has the voice notes of his therapists sessions with Red John.

Thoughts? Opinions as to Red John's identity?

I feel more inclined to think Haffner could be Red John, maybe not very good whistler, but middle age, what else did the doctor say ?, good composure, and he is part of Visualize. I think her visit to Lisbon was kinda creepy.

Could it be that the guys in the meeting that Jane interrupted are already closing down on RJ, but they don´t want to keep Jane on the loop. ?

But then again, I hadn´t given much thought about the possibility of a RJ ring, and I wouldn´t discard that theory.

Good episode tonight. My take is that since McAllister wasn´t afraid of heights, (last scenes) he doesn´t fit RJ´s description as provided by the Dr.

And he certainly doesn't fit the profile of the man who was wooing (wooing? What I am living in the 1920s?) that blind woman (can't recall her name). IMO the only scenario that makes sense is Red John is a compilation of characters and/or has several minions helping him. We shall see.

Good point, the blind woman, I think she was Rosalind... I agree I can´t discard the RJ group possibility, We need more clues...

If RJ is only one man I would have to say it is Ray Haffner but, putting everything together, I just don't see how RJ could be a single man and do all the things he does/did. We shall see. Hopefully we'll find out who RJ is before the holidays.

Tiger, Tiger, this is getting interesting, it was a good episode tonight.

No doubt! Two things we learned 1) Bob Kirkland is no longer a suspect and 2) Reede Smith confirmed there is a larger conspiracy going on at the CBI.

The [strike]Seven[/strike] [strike]Six[/strike] Five Red John Suspects:

Now that Brett Partridge met Red John (i.e., dead as a door nail), and Bob "Revenge my Twin Brother's Death" Kirkland was shot-in-the-back by Reede Smith after being arrested by the CBI after abducting Jane and killing suspects on his phony list, there are only five suspects left.

Brett Stiles - the leader of the Visualize Self-Realization Center
Gale Bertram - CBI Chief
Raymond Haffner - former CBI Lead Agent with ties to Visualize
Reede Smith - FBI Agent who admits there is a larger CBI conspiracy before killing Kirkland (Tiger, Tiger)
Thomas McAllister - Sheriff of something...I vaguely remember him from a past episode (small town?)
[strike]Bob Kirkland[/strike] - Homeland Security Agent hunting Red John
[strike]Brett Partridge - Forensic Investigator[/strike]

My Latest Guess:

Red John Minions: Gale Bertram, Ray Haffner, Reede Smith (already confirmed), Tom McAllister, Bob Kirkland's brother, others that may surprise us...
Red John: Brett Stikes

I was glued to the tv, watching this last episode
I was surprised when Kirkland was shot, I wasn´t expecting that, I didn´t see that coming.

I read just today he wasn´t supposed to die:
"Originally, Kirkland was not going to die in this episode," Rebecca Cutter, who wrote "Red Listed," tells TVGuide.com. "I really pushed strongly that we should try and get rid of [him], narrow it down so the audience really knows we're getting there."
