The Following

Just finished watching S2. While we enjoyed it it wasnt as good as the first season. Felt they watershed the Joe character from a powerful leader to a funny going with the flow character is S2.

As far ad am concerned, The Following is hardy vs Carrol. If season3 is a reboot and doesnt include Joe as a major character then this show is toast as tv history shows in series reboots all fail!

So am the only one who found Keith Carradine appearing in 1 episode as an irrelevant character....irrelevant? The dude's got some serious acting chops and doubt he'd waste his time on a 2 minute bit role.

Yeh, pretty old now. Loved first season. Probably should have ended there.

Loved the tease on whether Ryan would be meeting Joe at the prison, only to find out that he's meeting Joe's mentor instead.

Course that pretty much confirms that Joe is done and won't be seen again, and will be replaced by Strauss as the ringmaster instead. Which pretty much means a poor rehash of season 1.

At least season 2 was different and unique, I really don't want a "remake" of season 3. They really should have just gone with something new.

I really liked season one because it featured a cult that had taken years to develop their evil plans. Instead of trying to continue the cult of Joe they would have been better to start with a new cult and new adversary in season 2 (and now season 3).

Lilly was at least new, and Joe taking over another existing cult was a nice twist.

But yeah, this season they really should have gone with a new cult and adversary.

Then why would they still list James Purefoy (Joe) in the opening credits?

Next Episode: Season 3, Episode 9

"Kill the Messenger":
Ryan and the new killer are both led back to Joe for different reasons; Mark comes to a decision.
