After watching several episodes of Terra Nova, it seems short on dinos and long on intertwined soap opera plots. IOWs . . . boring.

This week's TN bothered me with its "science". Exploding astroid makes an EMP? Really?!? Was there a small nuke in there?
Then of course not a single thing, except the "eye" was protected?
Some guy with a magnifying glass can make a new IC to fix the IC maker? And of course he is a bar owner?!?
I think they should have had a more practical method of losing main power for a while.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who rolled his eyes at the "EMP" BS! Many home laptops are shielded from EMP (to protect from lightning strike) now with simple wire or stamped Faraday Cages. You would think that in 150 years it would be MORE common, not less. And to have a WEAPON not shielded against EMP? Really? I am starting to have serious issues with this series and am about to relegate it to the same level as the lesser Irwin Allen fare like Land of the Giants.
One scene I liked was when the 6ers herded the big dinosaur towards Terra Nova to attack the puny fence...
I agree, this week's episode had a ton of issues. It is really starting to suck. I don't think this one is going to stay around past the first season.
Fox only has 13 episodes and they will not order more this year because of Idol at the beginning of 2012. So, we will not know until May if they are going to do another season.
I am having a hard time staying interested. The shows just have not wowed me at all. I watch and find myself more interested in posting on SatGuys or surfing the net. Not convinced I care that much to keep the timer. Not ready to pull the plug yet, but close.

I actually enjoy this show, but the plot holes are getting really annoying. For example, in this week's episode ...
when Taylor and Shannon arrived at the portal, the soldiers that Taylor's son had injured/killed were no where to be found and no one said anything about them then or later. Normally Taylor gets pretty upset when he loses just one "good soldier." Did they just get up, grab their gear, jump in their vehicles? Did Mira come along, take them prisoner and steal all their supplies? It would only take one line of dialogue to account for what happened.
The finale will probably be all she wrote on this show. A very expensive show to make each week and the ratings aren't that good. The story line isn't that interesting to me either. I watch each week but I am usually doing something else at the same time ,because it just doesn't hold my attention.
