Suppressing the banner on a 301?

Hi,

I would like to suppress the banner Dish Network gives me when I change channels with my DP 301. Can this be done at all?

If it cannot, is there a way to, move the location of the banner?

You can make it go away quicker by hitting the cancel button. If that helps you any.

Ahhh, the infamous Boss key for the satellite television. So it looks like you were on that channel all the time.

Problem with that is what if she/he hits recall on the remote.

Nothing as lurid as that.

I use a TiVo and I don't need a banner. Between the TiVo banner and the Dish banner, it is banner overkill.

I feel your pain. Be glad its not the 522's banner though its incredibly intrusive. I had a 311/tivo combo for a while.. i actually got used to it because the Tivo banner would stay up there longer and be alot more useful. I had the same issue with digital cable when i went that route... it would be a banner screen for about 3 seconds.
