Stumbled into software update???

On 11/26/11 I was having a problem with CI on dish so I went to the menu and pushed twice to get the info page which has the help number.
Then some how I got into the SOFTWARE UPDATE pages this thing takes FOREVER to do anything so since I was talking to the CSR on his instruction I unplugged the receiver for 10 seconds. When it came back on I got the SAME Software update page. It looks as though once you are on this page there is NO getting off of it until it is good and ready to let you off. After all this waiting it did not seem to do any thing.
Does any one here have any idea what happened?
 
was this a 211K? I have seen this once. has to replace the receiver due to the fact it would not download at all.

No this is a 211 and there is a check switch option, in fact when it did this download it did a check switch.
The download did not work so all the time wasted and it was a least one half of an hour was half an hour where I could not see my wings.

What receiver model is it, and what is the software version that you currently have listed for it? Are you getting stuck on the 061 message?

If the receiver is not downloading any software, and you are showing your signals are OK when you run the check switch test, we can replace the receiver. If you need it replaced, send me a PM with your phone number or account number and I can get you taken care of
