Stargate SG-1 Discussion

I think Don WANTS SGU to be better than it was :D

I'm sorry but for Stargate, it was weak, oh so very weak. Wanted to be BSG way too much. But thats a different discussion.

Watch it again ... ;)

I have...it's okay... It's not SG1 or SGA though. It looks better now mainly because it is better than most everything else on Sigh-Figh. I watched every episode of it and it holds it's own in many ways, but it's still not as good as SG1. They really had something special going in that series...

Agreed.

I never finished the series, and deleted the episodes I had; but if I want, I can watch it on Netflix. I just could not get into it. It did not work for me. SG-1 was really special; one of the best science fiction shows of all times, imho, and that says a lot given how much I have loved ST:TNG

Anyways, I watch Watergate yesterday. Enjoyed it. Today in the gym I watched the Unas episode, not one of my favorite episodes. Felt too much like Darmok and jalad at tenagra. :)

But I watched it.

Was "Martin Lloyd" patterned after Martin Wood? The name appears on episode credits a lot and I'm figuring it was an inside joke. Also, a lot of the extras were actual crew and writers getting cameos. I'm wondering if the gal at the security booth (whom O'Neill talked to) is also someone we would know.

For Wormhole Extreme, there were plenty of cameos.

Martin Wood is the director of the show, so it makes sense.

This is what Wikipedia has to say:

"Wormhole X-Treme" features many cameos by the crew of Stargate SG-1. The director of this episode, Peter DeLuise, also played the director of Wormhole X-Treme!. Writer and executive producer Robert C. Cooper played a Wormhole X-Treme! writer. Further cameos include Joseph Mallozzi (who co-wrote this episode), producer N. John Smith, and Stargate SG-1 writer Ron Wilkerson as Wormhole X-Treme! crew members; Stargate SG-1 property master David Sinclair as the Wormhole X-Treme! assistant director; make-up artist Jan Newman as a make-up artist; director Andy Mikita and producer John Lenic as the characters being beaten by Col. Danning; Stargate SG-1 director Martin Wood as an NID agent; and several more.[1] The two executives who commented on the unrealistic look of Lloyd's spacecraft are played by Stargate SG-1 executive producer Michael Greenburg and executive producer/co-creator Brad Wright.

But I am still a season away from re-watching Wormhole Extreme :)
