Stargate SG-1 Discussion

Watched Watergate & The First Ones, I had forgotten that Maybourne was in Watergate along with Deanna Troi and the First Ones had Goa'ld ...

Yep, that's why I said "Holy frozen bad guys", as O'neill said that when they opened the freezer and found Maybourne standing there. ;) I wish the jumping from the rear of that plane seemed a little more real. For some reason, it just seems really (and obviously) fake. I like Daniel's line comparing the sub to a Timex watch. :D

Watched a few good third season episodes yesterday -- Urgo -- which was humorous, even though Urgo was annoying -- and Hundred Days (that one always is reminiscent of Inner Light for me, not sure why) but its just a great episode.

Urgo is a funny episode and yes, Urgo is annoying. A Hundred Days is a "family" themed episode, much the same as Inner Light. The two plots share similar elements in the "family" and "friends" area. Other than that, they share really nothing else in common, but I think that's why there's that Inner Light connection...

The problem I had with the Ori was just the obvious parallel to religious zealotry on this side of the gate. It was a knee-jerk reaction to events of the day. I think it could have been fleshed out differently to mask it. To me the Ori arc was SG1's equivilant to the original Star Trek featuring the race of people that had one side of their face black and one side of their face white and would fight each other because one color or the other was on the other side of the face! Just a slap across the face with contemporary events. :)

Hey Don,

Is the Showtime Beyond showing all Stargate Episodes in HD?
