Which format do you support? Blu-ray Disc or HD DVD?
Which one do you want to win the Format War?
Please vote!
And feel free to explain why.

I have HD DVD, do i want it or blu ray to win? I just want High Def disks that I can watch and companies will fully support. I am a consumer.

The more I consider a BR player, the more I realize I am on the HD DVD side. :)

Seems like there are no good BR players out there that meet all of my needs (RF remote, advanced audio codec support, interactive support) that I get with HD DVD (universal remote, most advanced audio codes (no DTS-HD), full HDi support).

Oh well. HD DVD for now. Maybe BR in the future.

As I state in all of my posts, I am neutral. Both formats have advantages and disadvantages. I love my Toshiba, and I also love my Panasonic. I would never use a gaming system for a player.

I just want to enjoy my HD.

I have both, but Blu-ray has my vote. Content is king and Blu-ray is where it's at.

Exclusive Content and larger capacity (for now) are all that Blu Ray has going for it.....

HD DVD plusses?

NO region encoding. Buy those imports to your hearts content.

More support from small independent producers (ie. cheaper to produce and convert existing DVD production facilities to HD DVD)

"Small independent producers" also includes just about all the porn producers (only Vivid is saying they will support both right now. NONE will be BluRay only).

Interactive content.

It ain't Sony (ie. they won't be able to screw up THIS format like they did Minidisc, SACD, UMD, or Beta)

BluRay baby! Of course you know that. And why you might ask? More studio support means more movies. How many blockbusters has Universal had in the last 3 years? Sony , Disney and Fox have been killing it at the box office. Man I love the Pixar movies -- BD here they come "CARS" first week of June.. My wife and I also love the Bond movies -- "CASINO" in March. We really like Johnny Depp -- both Pirate movies in May. I also like Spiderman and both will be out week before Spiderman 3. All these only on BluRay. Coming late February BD-JAVA support. By March in full swing -- this is gonna be cool.

And this is just a taste. All the latest Blockbusters on BD only and coming out the first half of 2007. Can the 2nd half of 2007 get better for BD???:bow @party :wave

I'm glad the Toshiba has superior upconverting skills. Heck, those upconverted movies almost look as good as some of the HD movies the BD supporters are pushing.

Lately I have lean more and more to Blu-Ray and this week I finally decide to fully support it!

HD DVD only. Because there really is no reason for BD to exist.

Actually if you look at the history, there is no reason for HD-DVD to exist. The Blu-ray consortium as a much larger and diverse membership the the HD-DVD camp. It's too bad the proposal to combine the formats (Blu-ray physical layer, HDi interactivity) failed.

Yes, we lost out as consumers as soon as they failed to settle on one format.

But it's beginning to look grim for HD-DVD. It may be a long hot summer.

Welcome aboard! The next few months are going to see some great titles for BD.:welcome

A flood of BD and HD DVD torrents are coming.
