Slingplayer Alternatives

I saw a thread not long ago about alternatives (even some new ones coming out) to the slingplayer that were supposed to be good. I cannot find the thread and saw some devices that I thought were interesting as I was looking for a slingplayer type of device.

Do you mean "Slingcatcher" aka Sling Receiver 300?

I see different names for it. Something like a Sling Solo where I can use it on satellite, cable, etc. and perhaps a device that would work not only on the internet but on a private network not needing the internet.
