I know that Dish sells a USB-Bluetooth dongle, but I curiously ask if anyone has tried any other USB dongle.

True Andy. Paying $15 is semi reasonable, but the price of a non-dish dongle is less than half that; I've seen them for $3 or $4.

I regurgitate the thread, as I seek additional help.
1) I cannot find instructions anywhere for enabling bluetooth connectivity on a Joey. There is no setting for BT in the Joey menu.
2) Assuming that it can work, I would like to know how it operates. Can I hear my TV's output, and at any given time switch to BT headphones WITHOUT having to get up and touch something? Thank you

I got the dongle and I now see it on the menu; the headphones will come in a bit. I assume that the volume of the sound can only be controlled through the volume control knob of the headphones and not the tv's volume buttons since those have nothing to do with the bluetooth connectivity.
