Well I guess that this is the long anticipated deal for Huges Network Systems
SkyTerra Communications has agreed to acquire 50 percent of Hughes Network Systems, a unit of DirecTV Group Inc. in a deal that values Hughes at about $360 million, the companies said on Monday.
SkyTerra, an affiliate of New York-based private equity firm Apollo Management, will acquire the stake in a deal that involves contributing most of Hughes Network's assets and liabilities to a new limited liability company.
