SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Discussion - Week Ending 11/17/2007

So... I am a little slow. Does this mean Indianapolis could finally be getting locals in HD? Or does 61.5 not service Indy??

Yes, we get 61.5 here in Indy. But who knows if they'll add our HD locals. I'm not holding my breath, since they were uplinked for a long time a while back but never made available and eventually downlinked (is that a word?).

Don't know why they were never made available. Maybe negotiations fell through, or something.

I notice none of these channels are listed in the master list of DISH channels , so I take it that this means MORE Hd locals that haven't been announced yet. OR maybe they are finally adding the rest of the hd locals that they were supposed to have launched by the end of 2006.

Don't be quick to assume with this yet. As far as I can tell these are only table changes as in a guy punching in some stuff on the computer. The spotbeams are not active right now.

So, you're assume that first two digits ( in DEC format ) of new TIDs are SB numbers ? 110W wasn't that easy with SB numbers.

:haha lol :haha

But they could activate the spotbeams couldn't they? I think they used to say that they wouldn't use the spotbeams because they could only use the new sat at 61.5 in half power if they used spotbeams or some rot. If not local channels then why are they numbered in that range ? How about filling me in on what the other numbers are in the other 8psk range. I haven't a clue on what those are supposed to be.

Yes they could activate then once the move the internationals and HD nationals around and can the Skyangel stuff.

There is nothing to fill in yet on the number range. They have only given us another piece of the puzzle.

digi. Does this movement have anything to do with the work on the new encoders??

It would be nice if part of this meant MSG-HD and FSNY-HD are coming soon for us poor shlubs in New York.

But the channel numbers are all wrong. It's gotta look like more HD locals are coming to the east.

Or maybe I have no idea what I am talking about? lol

Just got my 625 today. Question about the remote...
