Thanks for the info. I wish Dish, Sky Angel, and other Chrisitan networks could get together to allow a few more to be FTA. This would help out those lifetime Sky Angel subscribers in getting the 32 radio & TV channels they were promised. Now if Dish could remap Angel One FTA to the Sky Angel number and make TBN FTA and remap it to it's Sky Angel number then Sky Angel could add two new TV channels.
Digiblur, I just saw your latest post so maybe my above solution isn't that viable at this point.
WOOHOO!! This is GREAT news!! I knew I dumped Cox a couple weeks ago for a reason! Kudos to E* and these stations for figuring this out!

Yes I have and I hope they continue to add channels.
I like TLN and Faith TV that are on Sky Angel but not yet on Glorystar. I would really like to get NRB that is only on DirecTV as of now. Another reason for holding back is the fact it is not compatible with my Dish DVR.
Thanks for the suggestion and I'll continue to check Glorystar for new channel additions.
Scott: Get on the phone to Charlie and Mark to follow-up on the OTA local sub-channel guide data. They added a fraction following your meeting with them and since .... nothing.
I guess they forgot about the OTA local Sub channel guide data AGAIN.
I hope we dont have to wait till next year when Scott Bumps into them again at Team Summit.
It seems like this is one of those where since they are not making extra money it is NOT high on there list of things to do. . . . . they only do it when someone asks or complains.
I hope we do not have to start calling the call centers or emailing the ceo@echostar.com over something so simple.
I complain because I feel the digital sub channel guide data is a part of the $5 I pay each month for local guide data and since I am missing PBS HD & My Network TV guide data I should get $1 off for each missing channel.

Im really surprised they added Charleston Sc back a few weeks ago. I mean we are not the biggest dma by far. Wonder what the order method is.
Yeah. Did not know if they had to work something out with the local for the sub channel data. I would figure they would add the bieggest markets first.

Dish's logic is always motivated by $$ (even if only perceived), so I expect it's a combination of the DMAs where they tend to gain the most new upgrades to analog LiLs minus whatever it costs them to get rights for HD feeds.
Because there's no additional charge when the HD LiLs are added to a customer's existing SD LiLs package, Dish only makes money when they gain new SD LiLs subs.
