I could see how that could happen. After all, that's why they are labeled rumors. Some rumors are true. Others don't pan out. That's why you shouldn't get any hopes up until you see the channels live in your guide. What I do applaud is that we are getting more HD. I just hope that ATT is listening and starts to fill some of the HD gaps in the lineup. As you can tell people want to get their content in HD. I think the transition to an all-HD lineup needs to happen much sooner than later.

You can get FXM HD channel live through FX NOW app. PQ is descent.
Yeah, that is my issue, i have Exede. But, Mediacom is installing service on my street currently!
Doesn't DTV have all the popular channels in HD and the ones that are left are niche channels? Maybe DTV doesn't see those as a priority right not because they don't get a lot of viewers? Maybe they are waiting to add those niche channels when the two platforms are merged?

When are these expected to go live? And I've always wondered why does it takes a week (or more) to test a channel? It either works or it doesn't, right?
It's 2016, every channel should have been HD by now.

Just because they're testing the channel is no guarantee that it will ever go live. We've been teased many times before.
The only tease I remember was the Pac 12 Network. What others have we been teased with?
I agree. But, it looks like DirecTV is not doing that. The company is not easy to predict. A good amount of programmers’ high definition could have been added after the satellites launched and, yet, here are—perhaps at last—with GSN HD. And we are still waiting on plenty more for HD.
Such programmers which should be available to us to be able to watch in HD: American Heroes Channel HD, Brigham Young University HD, C-Span HD, C-Span 2 HD, Chiller HD, Discovery Family HD, El Rey Network HD, Esquire Network HD, EVINE Live HD, Eternal World Television HD, FX Movie Channel HD, Great American Country HD, Home Shopping Network HD, Jewelry Television HD, MAVTV HD, NASA HD, Nicktoons HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Oxygen HD, Pivot HD, QVC Plus HD, RFD-TV HD, Sportsman Channel HD, Sprout HD, Trinity Broadcasting Network HD, TV One HD, UP HD.
One can go ahead and pick among those mentioned and distinguish which, say, five or ten should definitely be added in high definition. But, with 2016 not being impressive (so far), it feels like there is a dismissive attitude.

You forgot EPIX 1 and 2 in HD. It's apart of the Viacom contract and DirecTV can carry it, but they dont.
