I am still a ways off from going the HD route, but I am wondering if I will be able to do it the way I am doing it now.

Right now I have feeds from 61.5 and 110/119 coming into two 522s. I take the output of each of these (working as a single channel each) to two different TV channels (15 and 17) via a multiplexer. I then send this signal throughout the house, and I can watch Dish programming on any TV using the UHF remote.

Can I do anything like this with an HD receiver? I don't really want to have a receiver dedicated to a TV, but will I have any choice? Can you multiplex an HD signal?

You'd need an ATSC modulator, but I have no clue how much they cost or where you get one.

He could still do the same thing with a downrezzed output and have a great picture without putting an HD set in every room and still have HD in the main room.
