Repeating "bong" sound

I have been having a relatively new issue lately with our Genie HR34-700 unit.

This "bong" sound comes especially when deleting shows after watching them when "confirming" the deletion.

I have tried to make certain that extra presses of the remote are not happening but this "bong" will happen 2 to 4 times after "confirming" the deletion.

I'm not sure what is causing this or how to fix it. I do not recall having this issue before other then the occasional time when a remote button is pressed at the wrong time.

Have you unchecked the audio for notifications in the menu? If so, it's a glitch that Directv knows about and is supposedly working to fix.

Menu/ Settings/ Audio/ Sound Effects / OFF

If thats where its already set, then it is a glitch in the system, i have seen that one before.
