Remote code for AKAI HDTV???

Adding another HDTV, this time an AKAI 27" LCD for the bedroom. None of the listed 622 DVR remote codes work at all. Call Dish CSR, they tried but were of no help, either.

So has anyone had any luck using the Dish remote with an AKAI LCT2785TA?

You might try doing the search for code on the remote. Sorry, I don't know off-hand how to do it but it should be in either the main manual or the little remote manual if you have one. Or, someone who knows might post how to do it.

I recall trying to setup remotes on one of them there AKAI, no go. This wasn't a HDTV, just an older small CRT.

On a side note, when I told a customer that I couldn't program the remote to it, she told me that was OK, she heard through the grapevine that AKAI is made by the goverment and it is designed so that they can listen in on you and watch you.... I said OOOOOOK!

Try the Samsung Codes.
I set up my Akai RPTV using a Sammy remote. AFAIK, Akai is manufactured by Samsung,
the remotes I have are interchangeable.
