PS4 Owners Thread

The 1 TB PS4 is now a reality, at least for the time being in Europe. No US date announced, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time, especially since we first heard about this via an FCC filing.

My 2 TB PS4 was a reality on the day I bought the PS4 :D

The included 500 GB drive has never been spun up.

May as well put it in another machine. Free storage.
I have a SATA drive caddy, so if I ever need to backup something I can use it for that.
But I have another 500 GB (used to be in the PS3, but upgraded it to 1 TB last year). As well as an external 2 TB MyBook. So really don't need extra storage.

And the PC has a 2 TB drive that's nowhere near filled either.

When the PS4 gets filled (they fill fast I've notice), I'll probably get the Nyko thing that allows you to use 3.5 drives and go to 6 TB.

I'm a game horder, nothing ever gets deleted :D

I haven't played my PS4 in month but finally did tonight. I played two games of Madden which was fun as always but what really made my night was the last game I just tried out.

I had downloaded Valiant Hearts as a Plus member for free a long time ago and decided to try it out. I had a hard time stopping. What a beautiful game. Great story with very simple gameplay yet somewhat challenging puzzles. It had me smiling the entire hour I played. If I didn't have to get to bed because of work I would still be playing now.

Trust me, that smile is going to turn upside down pretty soon. Not because the game gets bad, but the story gets really dark, and that ending...

Hey remember that DriveClub game that all us Plus owners were supposed to get for free? Well it's FINALLY coming out June 25th. Don't get too excited though. It's starting off as an offline game with online eventually being brought in.

Ridiculous. Almost two years after we were supposed to get this game and they still can't just pony up and give us the full game instead of the PS Plus edition? I wasn't interested in this game anyways but I'm certainly not interested in a small portion of the full game.

After all of the problems they have had they are still just using this as an advertisement to get people to buy the full game. That would have been fine if they offered this from day one but now I'm not sure who wants it.

Valliant Hearts is an amazing game and experience, but I could only do a section or two at a time. It was pretty emotional. It didn't help that I read everything I unlocked. It's amazing how much of the real history the developers were able to put into the game, not glorifying war but still making it worth playing and even fun at times.

What's even worse about not getting the full game for free at this point is that they could still recoup some of the cost with the 10 or so DLCs (with trophies) that have been released for DriveClub. I've noticed that pattern with a lot of free Plus games: many have a ton of DLCs available to buy if not a sequel coming out in the next month.

When Destiny first launched Sony bundled it with a special white PS4 and controller. When The Taken King expansion comes out in September there will be another white PS4 bundle but this one has some limited edition Destiny art on it. It should be noted that they are packing in a physical copy of the game for those who care about that. Most of these bundles just come with download codes.

I don't know how many of you have tried out Rocket League, but I tried it out after seeing it has an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam, and after watching Angry Joe's Review

It is a lot of fun to play, and falls into that "Easy to learn, hard to master" gameplay style. Maybe we could get some games together on this. It's free for PS+ members this month so there's no reason to not pick it up

I'm up for this. I mentioned in another thread that I would like to get some people together to play it some time. I've been having a lot of fun with that game even just playing with strangers.
