Once Upon A Time

Though I didn't find the season's first episode to be exceptional, it did seem to set up some interesting developments for future episodes. This is still one of my favorite shows now, though they're bringing in so many past Disney characters, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dumbo, Bambi, and Lady and the Tramp in future episodes.
Also, I was glad I watched the "preview" episode that aired prior. I had almost deleted it because I wanted a recap of last season and not a preview of the coming one (I hate spoilers). The "preview" was in fact just a recap, so yay!

I enjoyed the recap/preview too. There were a couple of things that I forgot ... some "oh ya" moments. Still have not watched the premier yet though. Definitely on tonight's agenda.

The wraith thing reminded me a whole lot of the dementors from harry potter, especially when it was sucking at Regina.

I was really happy with the whole show, even though I'm not that familiar with Mulan. It is going to be interesting to see how they work all the "newer" characters in. Has to be one of the best shows on The Big 4 (of course only my opinion )

I thought it was pretty cool they incorporated Mulan. I hope if they decide to use Jasmine, they make sure she has a real pet tiger.

I cannot figure out who Will is in Fairytale land. Can anyone clue me in?

Sunday is a good night for TV.

What's next for the show? The little mermaid makes a splash in Storybrook? Would you believe Mickey and Minnie squeak into town? How about Pluto and Donald the Duck, since we are talking about DISNEY.

Actually, I kinda get all the characters they have used so far. I do think there is a point where they would be going overboard (Mickey, Minnie, etc.), but in my opinion, the writers have done a really nice job constructing an entertaining and not-too-far-fetched-for-a-fairytale storyline. If that makes sense.

I don't see how Mulan fit into the fairy tale story line. Not saying I didn't like, her, but Mulan was a real person.

Disney property.

Same reason sleeping beauty was called Aurora (disney movie name) and not Briar Rose (name from the Brothers Grimm book), and why Malecefant is a witch and not just another fairy, etc...

"Lady of the Lake": Emma and Mary Margaret try to find a portal that would bring them back to Storybrooke; Henry tries to talk Jefferson into reuniting with his daughter; on the eve of meeting Prince Charming's mother, King George poisons Snow White.

Nice to see Jefferson reunited with his daughter (I was worried he'd chicken out at the last second), but could they please have the actress playing Grace show some emotion? How about flying into his arms crying "daddy, daddy, daddy...", not a ho hum "oh papa, there you are". Afterall, not only were they seperated in Storybrooke, but also back in the Enchanted Forest.

I have a feeling this season will be a redemption for Regina, while Cora emerges as the villian.

Which is good, shows the writers are able to think differently and not just rehash previous storylines.

My question is how did Cora get out of the Mirror- looking glass- universe she was pushed into by Regina in her youth? Not only is she out of the mirror ,but she still has her powers? Need some more explanation here to understand where they are going .

My guess is with Jefferson's help, as he also was trapped over there and somehow got out.
