Managed to snag a couple units at the local Walmart's midnight release. Thankfully it's a smaller Walmart with several other larger ones in the county, so not much of a line, and they let me get 2.
Did set one up. The Day 1 patch took maybe a minute, not much too it I guess. The eshop maybe had 5 games in it.
Grabbed a charging grip while I was at Wally World.
The joy-cons are TINY, was surprised at how small they were.
Doing the upgrade and setting up the Nintendo acct on one of them was about all I could do, as amazon isn't delivering the games til later today.
Also, the first box they found of Zelda's, only had 6 of the Collector's Editions, none of the Standard Edition. After I had circled around to buy the second unit, there was a group of people waiting for them to finish the search for the regular edition's of Zelda. Was funny how they seemed to run out of Zelda before Switches.
There was maybe 3 Switch units left when I left, with no one else left in line. Hard to tell what that says about the launch, as this Walmart is out of the way, and most people would have gone to the 3 bigger ones in McDonough/Stockbridge that are less than 10 minutes away.
