Falcons over Panthers- I'll take the hot QB over the cold QB.
Redskins over Rams- Last year, St. Louis somehow found a way to win in Washington. This year, they won't be as lucky.
Cardinals over Jaguars- I don't trust the Jags' pass defense.
Raiders over Chiefs- Oakland played very well on Monday. Russell threw well, and the Chiefs got sliced by Flacco. Also, Raiders have won at Arrowhead two straight years.
Patriots over Jets- Last year, I made the mistake of picking against the Pats in week 2 on the road in the Meadowlands. I won't make the same mistake this year.
Titans over Texans- Not a good game after last week's stinker- at Tennessee, on the road, against that defense, in a stadium where they have won only once.
Saints over Eagles- I know Philly's defense is capable of winning, but the QB controversy worries me about them.
Packers over Bengals- One team is on emotional high, the other has a fractured psyche. This is too easy.
Vikings over Lions- As much as I want to pick this for my upset special, I've been burned too many times by the Lions over the years. Also, Favre is 25-9 lifetime against Detroit.
Buccaneers over Bills- Tampa Bay really did not look good last week; Buffalo played well in defeat. I think Edwards can get a few big play passes on a defense that allowed three 40+ yard TD passes.
Seahawks over 49ers- I don't know if San Fran can score enough points.
Bears over Steelers- Upset special. Steelers don't have Polamalu- also, Kerry Collins threw very well against Pittsburgh last week- I think Cutler can have a bounceback game.
Browns over Broncos- I know it's a home game, but even in victory, I wasn't impressed by Denver. After Cedric Benson ran well against the Broncos, I think Jamal Lewis can bounce back nicely. I know Cleveland has a mediocre D, but Orton is not the type of QB that can exploit it.
Ravens over Chargers- Baltimore looked sharper in their opener than San Diego did.
Cowboys over Giants- This is a close game, but I give Dallas a slight edge based on the emotion of a stadium opening. But I will not be stunned if New York were to win.
Colts over Dolphins- Matt Ryan threw well against Miami; Peyton Manning is not the best player for Miami's defense to bounce back from after week 1.
