Packers over Lions- I thought this had upset special written all over it- Packer defense banged up, Stafford coming off a career game. But he won't play, and I don't expect Daunte Culpepper to play like he did in 2004.

Cowboys over Raiders- Bruce Gradkowski struggles against teams who don't wear tiger stripes on their helmet.

Giants over Broncos- I don't trust Chris Simms, plus the Giant offense seemed to find some legs in their last game.

Falcons over Bucs- Atlanta's a great home team, and Tampa doesn't have a defense.

Cardinals over Titans- I think Tennessee's hot-streak stops- Arizona is becoming a complete team, passing, running, and a solid, timely defense.

Seahawks over Rams- Because somebody HAS to win. This game will be what Browns/Lions was expected to be- a dud, not the thriller it was.

Eagles over Redskins- Washington doesn't know what an end zone is; Philly does.

Panthers over Jets- Carolina's getting their running game back on track, and Delhomme for once will actually face a guy who is more of a INT machine than he is.

Vikings over Bears- Cutler is turning the ball over the way Favre used to.

Texans over Colts- Indy has had a lot of close calls; they're going to lose sooner rather than later, and the Texans are a desperate team.

Bengals over Browns- No excuses, Cincy, if you blow one on your turf.

Dolphins over Bills- Buffalo can't stop the run- some things never change.

Chargers over Chiefs- San Diego is getting on a roll; K.C. usually gets sliced by the Bolts.

Jaguars over 49ers- The Jags are the real deal; the 49ers may have been overrated earlier this season.

Steelers over Ravens- They need it more.

Patriots over Saints- I think Brady will fire more salvos than Brees. Bold prediction- this will be the highest-scoring MNF game EVER!

Nostradumbass predicts:

Green Bay
@ Detroit - Dumbass Lion's think Thursday's parade is for them. Victory streak is over. If Quinn can put 37 up against them, wait till you see what Rodger's does to them on a short week.

New York Football Giants
@ Denver - One team is climbing back into the playoffs, the other is working their way out.

Oakland @ Dallas - Dallas sucks, but they're at home. They'll need more than 2 minutes of offense this week.

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta - Atlanta needs this game to stay alive for the playoffs. 'Nuff said.

Miami @ Buffalo - Because I said so.

Cleveland @ Cincinnati - Cleveland ain't playing Detroit. This is a real defense.

Indianapolis @ Houston - Indy will lose. Again, not this week.

Chicago @ Minnesota - Favre may be having the best season of his career. And the guy is 50 yrs. old! Lock of the week.

Washington @ Philadelphia - Washington will be lucky if the Eagle's fans don't eat them for dinner.

Carolina @ New York J-E-T-S - Sing along; "Where oh where did our playoff hopes go, Oh where oh where can they be......" The Jets are done, but they can win this one.

Seattle @ St. Louis - The Rams are only two dozen players away from being a playoff team. Seattle is 25 players away.

Arizona @ Tennessee- Titans are playing like it's 2008 again.

Kansas City @ San Diego - KC won't catch SD napping like Pittsburgh was last week.

Jacksonville @ San Francisco - I'll admit, I'm guessing here. SF is due.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore - I just think that the Ravens want this more. They have been playing a murderous schedule.

New England @ New Orleans - I'm riding the "Brees", and I'm not getting off till they lose. Match up of the week. If you ain't watching this game Monday, it's time to get your wife out of your pants. Or maybe into them....?

14-2 last week.

Season: 99-61

Green Bay- the turkey coming out the back end will look better than Detroit
Dallas- they suck but Oakland sucks a lot more
Denver- I hope other wise it's just another quick start to a season then a total meltdown

Arizona
@ Tennessee Seattle
Washington @ Philadelphia
Carolina @ NY JetsChicago
Indianapolis @ Houston
Cleveland @ Cincinnati
Miami @ Buffalo
Kansas City @ San Diego

I'll give them benefit of the doubt, especially on my card.

NY Giants @ Denver
Tampa @ Atlanta
Arizona @ Tennessee
Seattle @St. Louis
Washington @ Philadelphia

Kansas City @ San Diego Been picking KC all season, then stop when we have a team we shouldn't beat come to town in the form of the Steelers... so F that, HOMERVISION: GO!
Jacksonville @ San Fransisco
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore Baltimore needs to find their feet again offensively.
New England @ New Orleans - tough pick, but when in doubt... home team wins.

BY point spread?

here's my picks for the remainderof the weekend's tilts
BTW I have two bets on GreenBay..One -11.5 and a second half bet Green Bay -7

Oak at Dal.....-13.5.....Dallas will showcase at home vs a depleted Oak squad coming off an emotional win vs the 9-3 Bengals. Dallas minus the points.
NYG at Den....Giants -5 ..This line has slipped steadily all week. In fact the number was 6 this morning. Questions aboud. WHich Giants team will show up and how banged up is the Denver offense.....SHort week for both teams. Denver has lost 4 straight. Slight lean to Giants
Indy at Houston....Indy -3 1/2....Colts are rolling and Houston has been snatching defeat from the jaws ofd victoory all season...Colts cover the number
Browns at Bengals... CIN -14...Dangerous to give two td's in a division game. But Cincy has got to be a one pissed off ballclub after going to Oakland and losing.
Cincy handles this assignment in hand
Readskins at Eagles....Skins almost pulled off an upset vs Dallas last week. In fact if not for two missed FG attempts the 'Skins would have been winners. That was last week. Philly needs this one. The team is healthy and on a roll. Lineis PHI -9....Eagles cover
Dolphins at Bills...Miami -3 This matchup features two bad teams....Bills are worse. Dolphins win
Seattle at St Louis..This is an awful matchup Seattle giving 3 pts.. Why?..Rams cover
Tampa at Atlanta ...Falcons -12......Falcons have shown inconsistency all season. BUt htis is the Bucs. Tampa is playing for a draft pick. Falcons.
Carolina at NY Jets......Jets -3....This is two teams going in opposite directions. After going 3-0 to open the season Jets have lost 4 of 5. Carolina is busy dreaming of a wild card slot.....Panthers cover the number
Jacksonville at San Fran...49ers -3....No reason why Frank Gore and compnmay won't send the Jags home with a loss...Niners minus the three
Kansas City at San Diego...SDO -13.5....KC pulled off the biggest upset of the seaon vs the enigmatic Steelers....Let down city...Chargers win and cover
Bears at Vkings...Minny 11......Vikes are arguably the one of the best teams in the NFC. Bears are real bad.....'Sota covers the 11
Arizona at Tennessee...Titans are favored for the first time since week 2. Rightly so. Fisher appears to have righted the ship. Warner is due back from an injury for the Cards. Tight matchup.......Cards cover but lose
New England at New Orleans. We have to wait until Mnday night for the best matchup of the week. At least on paper.
With ghosts of "4th and two" behuind them the Pats probably have the best chance to knock off the Saints ofg any opponent yet...Saints giving 1 1/2 at home....I would not bet the spread here..But sine I have to make a pick, I'll go with the Pats to upset
