Did not say anything about proposing WHO would determine IF the injury is legit. As Rey said, they screwed it up for everyone. All I know is that IF a player is hurt during a possible game winning or game tying 2 minute drill...they are going to get penalized twice. Losing a player for the next play AND losing a timeout.

Tweaking the rule is something that had to be done because of a few that tried to take advantage. Like the Stabler Rule, for example... ;)

One last time...It's a rule put in because some were taking advantage and faking injuries to preserve timeouts they had, and when they didn't have any left to take. It does suck if it's your team that is affected by it, but until there's a way to identify real injuries vs. fake ones, it is what it is.

Teams know about the rule, so it shouldn't come as a shock, just like the OT, right?? What??

"I didn't know you could tie," 49ers safety Dashon Goldson said, via the Bay Area News Group. "When I saw both sides walking onto the field, I was like, 'Where's everybody going?'"

Danny Amendola, Dashon Goldson fuzzy on OT rules

The "holly roller" I totally understand....but HOW do you tell someone 'you better not get hurt in the last 2 minutes'...?

that's why players do their best to get off the field with injuries within the last 2 minutes. its a non debatable rule. stinks for the innocent and appropriate for the ones who are capable of taking advantage of it.

Are you freakin' kidding me??!! First McNabb, and now this. Doesn't the NFL have offseason rules seminars for the coaches and players??

BIG DUMMIES!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the steelers will win tonight :D

No, I actually like the recent change. Teehar seems to think for some reason that the changes were designed to reduce the chance of ties. I'm just trying to point out why I think the changes actually have the opposite effect...

Maybe that's my personal interpretation of the new OT rules but,I know I have heard that being discussed on sport shows, that the new rules would somehow lower the percentages of ties. There can be no ties in the playoffs so why not make it that way in the regular season?I don't believe there are too many fans of a tie game.
