Packers are the only team left that I really like to watch. I can get by watching the Patriots and Ravens, sometimes the Bronco's. I may just pull for the underdog and cheer for the Bengals.

It's not Garrett, it's the GM that fired Landry that needs to go... ;)
Cowboys won't win until Jerry Jones gets his nose out of everything and Andy Reid won't go there with Jones in control of everything unless Reid gets way overpaid :D :)

Was the win against the Browns worth it today ?

This would be a good year for the cowboys to draft a young QB to start grooming as Romo's replacement. he's 32 and only has a couple of seasons left. Ortons as old as Romo and I don't know who they were using as 3rd string on the depth chart for emergencies.

There isn't an RG3 or Luck this season, but there are some good young qb's to look at.

I really don't care if "my guy" wins MVP but I will defend him against Manning.

Not that Brady's division is anything to write home about, but the AFC west is garbage.

Brady beat Manning head to head.

That being said I think AD is the MVP.

He lead a limited offensive team that he carried almost singlehandedly to the playoffs. Against a division that includes the bears and Packers.

Just for comparison, here are Manning's numbers, do you have Bradys handy?

Manning finished the season with 4,659 yards, 37 touchdowns and a 105.8 passer rating, all second best in his 15-year career.

Isn't Kitna still in Dallas ?

NFL head coach tracker: What changes are coming?

Published: Dec. 30, 2012 at 11:09 p.m.

A huge weekend of playoff-like games awaits Sunday. On Monday, 20 teams will start looking toward next season.

We'll all have the big moves covered on Around the League, starting on Black Monday, when many NFL head-coaching changes are expected. (Less talked about: Black Tuesday and Wednesday to follow).

This page will be a one-stop shop for links to all the latest news from the Around the League page. For now, let's take a look at what teams we'll be tracking next week for potential moves and whether or not they're likely to make a head-coaching change.

Arizona Cardinals

Ken Whisenhunt took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl not so long ago, but he has struggled to find anything resembling offensive consistency since. Whether it's personnel problems or Whisenhunt's coaching that is up for debate, he certainly has had a big say in the Cardinals' quarterback decisions.

Chances for a change: Stronger than you think. Defensive coordinator Ray Horton and former Cardinals assistant Todd Haley are two potential hires with whom the Bidwill family feels comfortable. It's also quite possible that general manager Rod Graves will lose his job, with Whisenhunt staying and someone receiving a promotion from within the personnel department.

Buffalo Bills

Chan Gailey has shown little progress in three years under GM Buddy Nix. The team changes its defensive plans every year, and Gailey's offense isn't as tough to prepare for as it used to be. Owner Ralph Wilson might not want to swallow the remaining money on Gailey's contract.

Chances for a change: Nothing would surprise us here, but the Buffalo News reported Sunday that a "full housecleaning" could be on the way. Nix seemingly would have a better chance of staying than Gailey.

Carolina Panthers

Ron Rivera has struggled to win close games during his tenure and isn't a natural in game management. A strong closing stretch could save his job, but the Panthers will hire a new GM after the season.

Chances of a change: Strong. A new GM almost always means a new head coach. Yahoo! Sports, however, hears some early buzz that Rivera could stay.

Chicago Bears

The Bears hired a new GM (Phil Emery) last offseason. Missing the playoffs after a 7-1 start conceivably could put coach Lovie Smith in jeopardy.

Chances of a change: Growing. NFL Network's Michael Lombardi said Sunday that sources around the NFL believe Smith "could be in jeopardy" whether or not the Bears make the playoffs.

Cleveland Browns

Pat Shurmur's team probably is better than its 5-10 record indicates. And it probably doesn't matter. Shurmur isn't an inspiring offensive mind. Like Rivera, Shurmur struggles with in-game situations.

Chances of a change: The Plain Dealer reported Saturday night that Shurmur and general manager Tom Heckert will lose their jobs Monday.

Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has intimated that he hasn't even thought about changing head coaches. Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer says coach Jason Garrett is safe, even if the team loses Sunday night and misses the playoffs.

Chances of a change: Minimal. If Glazer says Garrett is safe, he's safe.

Detroit Lions

Jim Schwartz and GM Martin Mayhew pulled off one of the best rebuilding efforts of all time after taking over the 0-16 Lions. And then the bottom fell out for a talented roster this year.

Chances of a change: Growing. Multiple outlets said earlier in the week that Schwartz was safe, but ESPN reported Sunday that Lions ownership is so disturbed with the team's culture, it could make a change. Schwartz is signed through 2015, but that might not matter.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Mularkey was hired just last year, but his boss (GM Gene Smith) is on the way out. Mularkey wasn't able to develop young quarterback Blaine Gabbert. All signs point to new owner Shad Khan making a change in the front office.

Chances of a change: Good. See Rivera. When a new decision-maker arrives, a new coach is likely to follow.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs were a popular playoff pick before the season (sorry). They are without question the worst team in the NFL. When that happens, change almost is automatic.

Chances of a change: All but certain. Even though GM Scott Pioli is expected to stay, NFL.com's Steve Wyche reported that coach Romeo Crennel is likely to be fired.

New York Jets

Rex Ryan has made a pre-emptive strike by reportedly telling people he'd rather be fired than stay without major changes to the offensive coaching staff and personnel. Ryan reportedly wants to stay, just under his own terms. He has more leverage than you think. The Jets announced Ryan will meet with the media at 4:45 p.m. ET Monday.

Chances of a change: Small. Look for a change at offensive coordinator and in the front office. Ryan might wind up with more power than ever.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Andy Reid era with the Philadelphia Eagles is over. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported that Reid was informed by Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie during a meeting Friday that Sunday's game against the New York Giants would be his last as coach, according to two sources. The Eagles are expected to formally announce the firing Monday.

The Eagles strongly denied the report, saying Lurie and Reid will meet Monday.
Reid's 14-year tenure with the Eagles is over, but it didn't come as a shock -- Lurie said before the season that an 8-8 record would not be acceptable. The Eagles finished with four wins following their 42-7 loss to the Giants. You do the math.

Chances of a change: 100 percent.

San Diego Chargers

Chargers owner Dean Spanos surprisingly gave coach Norv Turner another season to turn things around after a dismal 2011. Things only got worse. Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego reported that GM A.J. Smith and Turner will be let go at season's end. Turner told reporters after Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders he's "sure" he'll be fired.

Chances of a change: All but certain. This one should happen right away.

Tennessee Titans

Titans owner Bud Adams is mad about his team's performance and wants answers. Television ratings are down, and ticket sales are likely to follow. Coach Mike Munchak already changed offensive coordinators and could change the defense, if he is allowed to keep his job.

Chances of a change: The Tennessean believes that all early signs point toward Munchak staying.

Man what an outstanding performance by Adrian Peterson!!He is without a doubt the best RB in the NFL.

Yea Reid era is over in Philly, thankfully!Hope Mike Vick is gone just as fast!Rumors are that Reid is the top choice in San Diego to replace Norv Turner.

Tony Romo should either retire or resign himself to warming the bench. He has to be the biggest choke artist of all time!

As bad as the Eagle and Panther seasons were it was at least somewhat gratifying seeing Dallas,New York, and New Orleans miss the playoffs!

I'm pulling for the Vikings and Seahawks in the playoffs.I suppose I'll have to pull for Denver in the AFC,I despise all the others that are in.

Hottest Teams in the 2012-2013 Playoffs

1. Denver Broncos 11 wins in a row. No questions here. After a 2-3 start with some close losses against really good teams, the Broncos got their act together, started gelling, and routinely beat teams to a pulp for the remaining 11 weeks of the season. No team should be the favorites above Denver, who now enjoys home field advantage throughout. Peyton Manning leads an incredibly dangerous, and balanced attack, while the defense has been shutting people down. If they can win the turnover battle, they simply will not lose.

2. Washington Redskins 7 wins in a row. RGIII and that offense have become extremely difficult to defend. Shanahan has reminded the world of the creative genius he once had with the previously mentioned Broncos. Proper drafting, a system and philosophy the players buy into, and it's hard to say that anyone will be comfortable playing this team.

3. Seattle Seahawks 5 wins in a row. Of all the teams in the playoffs, they have allowed the fewest total points, and the fewest points per game. Russell Wilson is having perhaps the best rookie season on record, and they have been a dominant force against some high-caliber teams such as San Francisco and New England.

4. Cincinnati Bengals 7-1 in last 8 games. Besides the Broncos, no defense in the AFC has looked scarier as of late, and they are perhaps the best road team of the bunch. Their average margin of victory on this run is 12.5 points per game. In other words, they are winning in pretty dominant fashion. 2nd in the league in sacks behind the Broncos, they win the battle in the trenches.

5. Minnesota Vikings 4 wins in a row. Including an impressive, all around effort against Green Bay to clinch one of the last two playoff spots. Unfortunately their opening post-season game will be against the same Packers at Lambeau Field. No small task, though Adrian Peterson seems like he could run for 150 yards on a bad night. Ponder is cleaning up his act a little, but their defense is suspect.

6. New England Patriots 9-1 in the last 10 games. The Patriots seemed like a Tecmo Super Bowl team earlier in the season, but have recently come back down to earth. After seeing what's happened to Houston, the Patriots victory on December 10th seems less impressive. They struggled with Miami the first time, were relatively dominated by San Francisco, and barely eeked out a win against the awful Jaguars. They were gifted the number 2 seed as the Texans continued to crumble in Indianapolis. The Patriots are lead by Bill Belichick, however, who has a wealth of playoff success with his system, and they can still score a lot of points. But their turnover margin has slowed, and their defense hasn't improved at all.

7. Green Bay Packers Rodgers and the cheese heads are still a major player in the NFC, and are the only group remaining on that side with any Super Bowl experience. Look for them to do what it is they do in the first round, though I can't imagine a trip to San Francisco will fare well for them. It's just an awkward match up. Always has been, always will be.

8. Atlanta Falcons For my money, this is perhaps the most ho-hum 13-3 team I've ever seen. Yes, they proved they could win some games in the waning moments of crunch time, but they also sputtered in the face of mediocrity. A loss at the hands of the Buccaneers while playing all of their starters at home didn't help either. Choosing to "go for the throat," as so many fans claim they want, managed to cost them their confidence, and two defensive starters in John Abraham and Dunta Robinson. Oddly enough, no momentum for the NFC's #1 seed.

9. Indianapolis Colts I only put them beneath the Falcons because the Falcons are 13-3 and loaded with talent, but also because the Colts have pretty much needed miracles in 5 of their last 6 games to even get into this position. Anything can happen in the post-season, but I feel their high turnover ratio and inconsistent defense will cost them in the opening round.

10. Baltimore Ravens Wherever Joe Flacco goes, so goes the Ravens. Their defense is not playing well, and the coaches can't decide whether to give it to Ray Rice (their best offensive player) or preserve him. Losses in 4 of their last 5 games drop them to my 10th spot, but they do have the experience and leadership to get by the Colts, in my opinion.

11. San Francisco 49ers So...this team pulverized the Bears when the Bears were still in it, dominated the Packers and Patriots, but then got smoked by Seattle and struggled with Arizona for 2.5 quarters. Oh, and they absolutely couldn't beat the Rams. St. Louis was to San Francisco what Juan Manuel Marquez was to Manny Pacquiao. Clearly the inferior fighter, but a style match up nightmare. I can't decide if Harbaugh's crazy aggressiveness will help or cost this team in the end.

12. Houston Texans They just are not hot right now. They struggled against the Lions, Titans, and Jaguars down the stretch, and lost 3 of 4 to finish the season. Just 2 weeks ago the #1 seed was all but theirs, and now they plop into the 3rd spot where they get a really tough Bengals team. 2 of the 3 great QB's they played absolutely annihilated them for a combined 84 points. Their only signature win came against Denver, but that was before the Broncos had figured anything out. I can't imagine the Texans even get out of the first round. Maybe I'm wrong and they pull it together, but this is a list of who's hot and who's not.

Who wrote that horse****? Woody Paige?

The Patriots defense has got much better, they went +2 in turnovers yesterday and pitched a shutout.

Talk about struggling in Jacksonville. Ok, didn't Denver squeak by KC in KC?

The Texans were rolling before the Patriots smashed them, maybe it was them that sent them in their tailspin.
