NFL 2009-10 Season

I think Vick paid his dues already, he doesn't deserve a four game suspension, meanwhile Stallworth kills a man while driving intoxicated and serves 24 days.

Something is very wrong with this.

i really have no issue with the 4 game susp. but i agree 100% with what you're saying. something definitely out of whack there,"accident" or not.

I think what the man did was wrong and should of spent 10 years in jail, but he didn't, so time to get over it and let him rebuild his life.

Stallworth should spend at least 25 years in jail.

Raiders waived some scrubs (WR Shields, QB Southwick), and Derrick Burgess was a no-show for camp, 'Cable not happy'.

Also the future of Andrew Walter with the team is to be decided in the next 24 hours. Maybe they're trying to cut his salary or something and if he says no he'll be released?

Hmmmm.....Andrew Walter is the #3....and Vick is available.....;)

I agree except that there is more to the stalworth incident. The guy would have still been dead even if Stalworth ahd not been drinking. The guy Jay walked and ran in front of a moving vehicle trying to catch a bus. At least Stalworth stayed and tried to help.
Ray Lewis on the other hand was an accomplice to a murder and got away scott free.

I will not go into this again, but he did not jump out of nowhere...if you KNOW the area where he got hit...which I drive by litterally every day....you could have seen him half a mile away... There is NO DOUBT he would have been hit because he was legally drunk by more 2 times the legal limit even AFTER taking a nap( legal limit is .08 is he was at 1.28). He did not have the mental capacity to make a decision...not to mention there was marijuana in his system. To his credit, he did stay to help in the investigation, I will give him that.

...Stevo will be chiming in at ....5....4...3...2...1....;)

Heyward-Bey agrees to terms

Posted: July 30th, 2009

No. 7 overall draft pick Darrius Heyward-Bey has agreed to terms on a five-year contract with the Raiders, according to his agent, Ben Dogra. The wide receiver hasn’t signed the contract but is expected to Friday when he reports to training camp in Napa, Calif. The Raiders started practice Thursday.

I believe there is footage from a security camera that shows he walked/ran in front of a moving vehicle. as well as the police report showing the same thing. I am not condoning the drunk driving or the speeding 10 over but to say it would not have happened if he had not been drinking is still speculation. The alcohol definitely played a part in a poor judgment
- not slowing down because of pedestrians and excess speed.
