NFL 2009-10 Season

I don't remember exactly who said they were an elite team at the beginning of last season but I certainly didn't. As I recall you did say a few weeks ago or whenever it was that the redskins had turned it around.confused the hell out of most of us. In my case I did rip you last season for saying the cardinals would go to the superbowl before the playoffs even started. Most of us were wrong about that. :D. .prophetic? I don't think so.......

I wasn't the one who said they turned it around, but it was a good win against the Broncos none the less.

Reports are saying that Shannahan has been in talks with Snyder to be the next head coach for the Redskins. How can they do this when they still have a coach?

Report: Shanahan, Redskins Negotiating - ESPN Video - ESPN

They're allowed to do that, usually you don't though until after the current one is gone, heh. Also there's the stupid Rooney Rule that has to be considered, so there won't be a big headline all of the sudden, they have to bring in a minority candidate and pretend he can compete against Shanahan.

And down go the Saints.

Looks like their achilles heel is their poor defense against the run, then stopping the play-action pass. I don't see them making it to the Super Bowl. Always something with the poor Aints. :no
yea i lost a little confidence in the saints last night. lets see how they bounce back

Jerome Harrison is a BEAST!

Today, he has run for 286 yards.

286!

The old record was Jim Brown's 237. Harrison broke the record by 49 yards!

HD is freaking out right now at this Beast Mode performance.

Tennessee beats Miami in OT

Gotta give a lot of credit to Jeff Fisher and the Titans. After opening the season 0-6 (including the 59-0 pounding in Foxboro), the Titans are now 7-7 and very much alive for the playoffs.........

Randy Moss bounces back from last week's iffy performance with a touchdown reception.

BTW, Bill, what are your thoughts on all the brouhaha about whether he didn't give enough effort last week?

I thought it was well deserved, but I think Brady (whom Moss has tremendous respect for) got in his ear.

If the Steelers win their game today and the Ravens lose theirs, the AFC will have a seven way tie for the last playoff spot at 7-7.

The Dolphins, Jets, Jags, Titans and Texans are already 7-7.

Somewhere, Pete Rozelle is smiling.
