NFL 2009-10 Season

And this year he DOESN'T have the talent and is still having an MVP type season. Before this year, who's heard of Pierre Garcon & Auston Collie? Peyton Manning has single handily vaulted those players into relevancy.

Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are top 5 at their positions.

cant argue with that! they seem to be the more complete team in the afc. but, i still say the best in the afc cannot beat the best teams in the nfc at the moment.

I agree with you on New Orleans. But not on Minnesota, I think they are fools gold with that cheesy schedule.

I think it will end up NO v. SD "Drew Brees Bowl"

yea you might be right about minn. only way to find out is in the playoffs. i'm going for new orleans.

Take Manning off the Colts and they don't go 10-6. Period. They are down there with the worst of the league.

Yeah maybe with Curtis Painter. But with a middle of the road guy like Matt Schaub or David Garrard that is still a 12 win team.

Beside the WR and TE, he plays behind the best pass protecting offensive line in the NFL.

Put them on the Patriots, possibly. The Colts...not even close.

No way those guys pull off 7 fourth quarter comebacks out of the 14 Indy victories this year.

No. Way.

Sandra

Well at least you let your agenda be known:rolleyes:

The guy has always had talent around him.

Everyone talks about whether the Colts should try to go undefeated this year...well, the Colts are TRYING to lose a game, but Peyton won't let them.

No way the guys you mentioned engineer 7 fourth quarter comebacks out of their 14 wins this year. With those guys they probably wouldn't even be in most of those games.

But here is a recent example...you can put a Matt Cassel-type on the Patriots, and I have a pretty good feeling he can win 10 games. ;)

Sandra

Put Wes Welker on the Jaguars, and they might win 13 in a row. Garrard looked pretty good last night.

Welker is terrific, but if you move him to another team and want to replicate the same kind of success he's had in New England, you better bring along Randy Moss too, to occupy the secondary. ;)

Oh it's useless. He's a Pat's fan. He'll never fully appreciate and see in an unbiased fashion just how truly special Peyton really is.

he was pretty damn good when he was here in miami. the qb wasn't ;)

Indy may very well lose, as they are not the best team. The Chargers are clearly better, and you can make the argument for other teams too.

But if Indy loses, it won't be because a team gets into Peyton Manning's head. It will be because aside from the QB position, there are very few matchups on the field that favor the Colts.

Manning is special.

Sandra

I don't know where they rank now, but the Bengals had the #2 D in the NFL before last week.

Sunday's Bengals/Bolts game may give some insight. The winner will probably get the #2 AFC playoff slot, and a first week bye in the playoffs to rest up.

Sometimes, you never know when something you say will turn out to be true.

Last year, when the Redskins got off to a fast start- especially after the Dallas win- a lot of people on here were calling them an elite team.

I called them overrated, and you guys ripped me for it.

Well, since that 6-2 start last year, they have gone 6-11- yes, they did win last week- but still, they turned out to not be as good as what some of us thought.

Prophetic?

I don't remember exactly who said they were an elite team at the beginning of last season but I certainly didn't. As I recall you did say a few weeks ago or whenever it was that the redskins had turned it around.confused the hell out of most of us. In my case I did rip you last season for saying the cardinals would go to the superbowl before the playoffs even started. Most of us were wrong about that. :D. .prophetic? I don't think so.......
