NFL 2009-10 Season

That Troy Smith touchdown run brought it from 41-3 to 48-3 Ravens over the Lions, with five minutes left in the game. Why rub it in with a stupid dance?

I guess I held Troy Smith to a higher standard because he was always such a standup Buckeye, perhaps my favorite Buckeye ever. And I guess I was wrong.

This just in from Commissioner Goodell's office:

All victories against the Lions no longer count since everybody doesn't get a chance to play them in a single season.

A new low yesterday for the sorriest franchise in NFL history. I wonder if opposing offensive coordinators even show up to work on the week they play the Lions.
Typical game plan against the Lions -
Head Coach: "What do you think we should do on offense this week?"
Offensive Coordinator: "Ugh, snap the ball."
Head coach : "Then what?"
Offensive Coor. : "Does it matter?"

It really is that easy. Just sad.

That's really funny.:D

Reminds me of John Robinson's (the Tampa Bay coach) response years ago:

Reporter: "What do you think of your team's execution?"
John Robinson: "I'm in favor of it."

How much does Bill Belichick look like a genius for "selling high" on Matt Cassell?

Cassell threw another 4 INT's yesterday and has 7 in the last 3 games! This Cleveland fan is licking his chops!

He was a back up as far as I was concerned, it was an OBVIOUS move as far as I'm concerned .... as long as they KNEW that Brady was OK, and they obviously did.

I don't know, right about now Belichick is missing both Seymour and Vrable pretty badly. Cassel and Vrable even now represent probably the best value anyone's gotten for a second round pick in quite some time. Cassel has played poorly the last couple of weeks, but for the first half of the season despite the growing pains and the team leading the league in dropped passes, we were rarely turning the ball over. We took the Cowboys to OT, nearly upset the Ravens, beat the Steelers (an accomplishment that dwindles with each passing week), progress has definetly been made thanks in large part to veteran leadership on both sides of the ball.

The biggest difference the last two weeks is the absence of Bowe, the WRs haven't stepped up, they've just dropped more passes. This has resulted in poorer offensive play and more turnovers.

Like the Colts, we played a team that just couldn't pull away. That's going to sting for a while for the Broncos, I wonder how many 3 INT games Manning has had, and how many of those he's won.

1 play and you lose your opinion of a guy ?

I didn't even know he played and was wondering why, obviously it 's because of the big lead they had.

Seeing he doesn't get on the field or a chance to play, I'll excuse him for this strange dance.

Good morning all!

This weekend was great! Absolute stress free Sunday since my Brownies spanked the Stools on Thursday! Love having an extra long week to celebrate this victory, btw! How refreshing it is to just sit back and watch the games without any rooting interests!

Next up for my Orange and Brown:

@ Kansas City
vs. Oakland
vs. Jacksonville

Very real possibility my lowly Browns can build a 3 or possibly 4 game win streak to close out the year! (wishful thinking maybe, but that Steelers victory gave us a reason to believe again!)

My Raiders beat Pittsburgh, Cincinnati AND Philly....tell me how they did AFTER those wins.....and then come back to me...;)

Ya, I think we might get to see Charlie Frye at QB with Gradkowski tearing MCLs in both knees this weekend. Cable said he's not ready to name his starter, and not in a reassuring Mangini kinda of 'it's a mystery!' kind of way. Cable not endorsing Russell as starter yet | ProFootballTalk.com

I actually liked Frye MORE than Gradkowski! Gradkowski has this fire and presense....Frye is more gifted physically than Gradkowski. Either one would be better than the Pillsbery Dough Boy....

...Hell, I would take my chances with Kenny Stabler......

Cardinals play the 49ers on MNF.

Last year, this was one of the wilder games- will this game get as much commentary as it did a year ago?

(Bill, Anders, and myself were REALLY into that game on this forum)

I prefer Gradkowski, didn't hear he tore him MCL's till now.

I watched Gradkowski play in college, Frey as well, but Grad was on my home town team.

Both guys played very well in the MAC.

No comments on the Cardinals-Niners game?

Wow.

In their Monday Night game last year, there were nearly 12 pages of comments on that game on here.
