NFL 2009-10 Season

Manning does more with much less of a team, not saying he's better, but he's the guy that makes it not a 1-man race.

There's also a significant case for Favre if you look at things like his record breaking TD-INT ratio.

Chris Johnson could also end up with 2200 or so yards on a team that was at one point 0-6 and is somehow not eliminated from the playoffs with 5 to go.
I agree with you on Favre and Johnson (if the Titans can somehow squueze into the playoffs). At this point, I'd have to vote for Favre.....

Who else do you have on your team?
In my league where I have Brees, my RBs are Michael turner and Deangelo Williams.....they killed me this week. It didn't help that my opponent had monster games from Favre, Harvin and Austin.

Edit: He also has Maroney (who just scored again!!) I'm getting killed this week.

In the SatelliteGuys league, I don't have a team of marquee names, but they're doing just enough.

Matt Schaub, Antonio Gates, the Bengals defense- plus two guys I picked up off waivers- Miles Austin and Jamaal Charles.

Miles Austin is this year's waiver wire player of the year in tons of leagues around the country. Good pickup!

Another longgggg completion by the Saints.

I'm looking on the bright side, at this rate the Saints defense will be exhausted because their offense is scoring too quickly. :p

Manning does "more with less"? Less than Brees?!

Reggie Wayne is 10x the receiver that any of the Saints WR's are. Joe Addai is also a superior RB to Pierre Thomas, just as Dallas Clark is the better TE to the Saints' Jeremey Shockey. Need further evidence Brees does more with less and makes everyone around him better? Last year, Brees threw for 5k yards and didn't have 1 single receiver to go over 1k yards! Oh, he's on pace to do the same this year.

The only other player besides Brees with an outside shot at league MVP right now is Brett Favre.

An ironic note about this Patriots-Saints game- this year's Super Bowl is in Miami, and the last time the Super Bowl was in Miami, both these teams nearly made it to Super Bowl XLI.

I have never EVER seen a Belichick-coached team get torched like this.

Even in the games where they gave up lots of points, they still kept it very close.

And this is coming from someone who PICKED New England to win the game.

It's looking very likely that the Pats will be hosting a game on Wildcard Weekend (they're now one game behind both the Chargers and Bengals, and trail in tiebreakers to both teams).

I'm expecting Denver, Pittsburgh or Baltimore to be visiting Foxboro on the weekend of Jan. 9-10.

well what do you know??? the saints are for real after all ;) all this tells me is that the best two teams in the AFC can't beat the two best in the NFC being Minnesota and New Orleans.
