NFL 2009-10 Season

even though miami is still mathematically alive, they will probably tank after this butt whipping by the bills yesterday. miami is simply the worse 4th quarter team in the nfl. quite the opposite from last season when they would start slow but finish strong. now they start strong and leave the game after halftime. bye bye playoffs :wave

Remember Rey, last year's Dolphins schedule was MUCH MORE weaker than this year. Miami played ALOT of weak teams last years...

Ward says locker room is "50-50" on whether Ben should have played

Very surprising comments made by Hines Ward as shown prior to the game in an interview with Bob Costas...

"This game is almost like a playoff game," Ward told NBC's Bob Costas. "It's almost a 'must' win. So, I can see some players or some teammates kind of questioning like, 'Well, it's just a concussion. I've played with concussions before. I would go out there and play.' So, it's almost like a 50-50 toss-up in the locker room. You know, should he play, shouldn't he play. It's really hard to say.

"I've been out there dinged up. The following week, got right back out there. You know, Ben practiced all week. . . . To find out that he's still having some headaches and not playing and it came down to doctor's didn't feel that they was gonna clear him. . . . It's hard to say, unless you're the person. . . . I've lied to a couple of doctors saying 'I'm straight, I feel good,' when I knew I'm really not straight. But I don't think guys really about the future when they're playing currently in the NFL. . . .

"Trust me, the players, they wanna go out there because these games, you don't get back. You're never gonna get this Baltimore-Pittsburgh game back."

Wow.

Tuna Rumors Escalate in Cleveland!

With the Browns still searching for a new leader of the franchise's football operations and Dolphins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells free to cash out the rest of his contract and leave for another gig at any time, it was inevitable that Parcells' name would emerge as a candidate for the job in Cleveland.

And, per a league source, it has.

Are you Stooler fans still poo-pooing me (no pun intended) for my bold preseason predictions? Super Bowl one year, missing the playoffs the next. Priceless! :D

It was a VERY easy statement to make when you consider that many of the MAJOR players are out for most of the season.

Polomalo, Smith, on the D* Big Ben from time to time, one of the O linemen ....
They've had a very bad season as far as injuries goes.

Believe me, had the players been able to go, they would not be in the position they are now.

Hell, for that matter, had Ben been able to go the would have won last night. Easily.

Reggie Bush is a late scratch for the Saints tonight.

FYI, the New Orleans media is labeling tonight's game as the biggest regular season game in Saints history.

The Packers and Redskins 1983 Monday Night game holds the record for most combined points in a game- 95.

That record is in danger tonight.

(IMHO, the Pats and Saints could exceed 95 total points)

It will be high scoring, but not THAT high scoring...............Pats 38, Saints 34

He made that statement originally at the beginning of the season though.
