NFL 2009-10 Season

Five out the last six teams to sweep their division, have gone on to the Super Bowl.............................

The Bears are to 2009 what the Cowboys were to 2008- an overrated, underachieving media-drivng team that was supposedly a Super Bowl favorite.

(Ironically, the Cowboys of this year have been flying under the radar.)

Random observations from today's games:

1. If you're going to beat the Colts, you better be able to close late (or get a huge lead ala today's Chiefs/Chargers game). They keep rising from the dead in the second half- it just goes to show that no lead is ever safe against Peyton Manning. He laughs in the face of danger.

2. Tennessee started 0-6, but has now win 5 in a row after a stunning game-winning drive. 99 yards to go, backed on their own 1-yard line- and they won. Right now, they have to be kicking themselves for that week 3 loss to the Jets.

3. Atlanta lost Matt Ryan to a toe injury- and still drove for the game-winning score. Chris Redman is not a bad backup. Depending on the severity of the injury, Atlanta has a decent plan B.

4. The Chiefs were so outclassed in San Diego today, I still can't figure out how they beat Pittsburgh last week.

5. Terrell Owens is the latest Bills WR to torch the Dolphins. Andre Reed did it, Eric Moulds did it- TO, welcome to the club.

6. Carolina needs to go in a new QB direction- Delhomme is back to doing what he does best- throwing the ball to guys wearing different-colored jerseys.

7. As bad as the Redskins' record is, they play hard- they haven't been completely demolished in any of their losses so far.

Chances are they severely over looked them to the next game. Against Baltimore tonight.

Never should have happened .... Steeler's will pay DEARLY for it, by possibly missing the playoffs.

Chiefs game wasnt as bad as the score showed, they were beat by poor coverage of Antonio Gates and their own mistakes more than anything... (Chargers turned turnovers into TDs) the Chargers are a good team and the Chiefs had over 300 yards of offense without Dwayne Bowe and limited Sproles and LT to less than 60 yards on 22 carries.

A RB fumble, INT off of a DL pass deflection, and 2 snaps over Cassel's head decided the game. The Chargers are a good team and beat a team they were supposed to.

The Chiefs have been close in many games they weren't expected to because they really don't turn the ball over as much as a poor team should.

Seriously, does he have incriminating pictures on John Fox or something?
I mean, HOW does this guy still have a job??

Delhomme looks worse than Turnoversaurus Rex Grossman did a couple of years ago.........that's pretty bad!!!

IF the Ravens defeat the Steelers tonight, that would create a serious logjam for the last AFC playoff spot.

Denver has the lead for the first wildcard at 7-4. Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore would join Jacksonville at 6-5. Meanwhile, Miami, the Jets, Houston and Tennessee are all 5-6.

It's going to be a very interesting last five weeks!

I would be highly surprised if the Steeler's manage to pull this one out.

Two weeks ago, Belichick was roasted by the media for his fourth-down gamble.

It'll be interesting to see the reaction for John Harbaugh going for it on fourth down late in a game in their own territory.

NCAA proposes tough taunting, concussion rules

Is it possible to watch MLB.TV on a TV?
