Jeff Reed is probably the Steelers best field goal kicker of all time but why don't they just place a "designated kicker" on the roster who can kick balls past the end zone on kickoffs? That would solve a lot of their kick off issues.

With the piss poor KO coverage they have had this year, thats a good question.
Most teams appear to think they can keep the Return team inside the 20 on the KO, which rarely happens, I've often thought the same thing, get someone to kick it OUT of the end zone and play from the 20 .....

fwiw, Looks like Big Ben will NOT play this week, although he's listed as the 3rd guy for this week, meaning he can only play if both the others are injured as well.

From what I had been hearing earlier in the week all his test were coming up good and that he was going to play ..... I think the team decided to keep him out just to be sure .... last time he came back from a concussion he played very poorly .

Dixon to start for the Steeler's

OK,
Who can tell me what to expect from Dennis Dixon tonight ?
I know he was a very elusive QB at Oregon, was he any good as a passer, in college ?

I have a feeling that the Ravens will be able to look to the Steeler's as a one dimensional team tonight and shut down the run and they game will be over. (season probably too).

Give me some insight into this guy that I should think otherwise ...

With two top defenders out (Palomolo and Aaron Smith) I'm not expecting much tonight.

That said, the Ravens have not scored much of late.

This would be a HUGE win for the Steeler's if it should happen.
