From the Urban Dictionary...

1. Yinzer:
A resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Known for their love of all things Steelers and Donnie Iris and extreme hatred of Cleveland. Consists mainly on Primanti Brothers and ethnic cuisine. Yinzers can be easily identified by their one-of-a-kind, ridiculous accent.

Agreed.

Agreed

Probably.

5. Yinzer:
An extremely stupid Pittsburgh native.

I hate Reo Speedwagon, BTW Pittsburghers like Styx better.

A Yinzer named Denise Plumbowski of Lower Burrell, was arrested for DUI after her 94 burgundy Pontiac with a Penguins decal and license plate reading "STLR" swerved off the road.

Cleveland-What most Pittsburghers think of when asked to describe how bad Pittsburgh used to be.

Dahntahn-The way a Pittsburgher says downtown.

Jagoff-Unpleasant individulal, or jerk.(Hmmmm...I can think of one of the top of my head.;))

Tubes-Pittsburgh slang for tunnels.

Yunz-The word that sets Pittsburghers apart from everyone else in the world. It means the same as all of you and is sort of a northern y'all. Yunz is singular, with yunzes usually reserved for the plural.

I'm telling you Cy, you need to watch out. There is a new regime in town led by Mangenius that is surely going to bring respectability back to our team!

He couldn't cut it in NY with Favre, what do you think he's going to do with Quinn?

I always thought he was overrated, so did a lot of NFL teams, look how long it took him to get drafted.

IMO if the Browns didn't trade up, he would of went in the second round.

Quinn's young and willing to be mentored. Favre was stuck in his ways and wanted to throw the ball 60 times a game. From what I've been hearing, Mangini wanted to build an offense around a power running attack in New York and the Favre to Jets wasn't his idea.

And as for Quinn, he hasn't had the chance to prove himself yet. He sat the first 1.5 years of his career. This was by design as we didn't want to ruin him by rushing him along like we did Tim Couch. Quinn got injured a few games after he took the reigns as the starter. Give him time, and I think he'll be a more than adequate starting QB in this league.

Look how bad he was with Notre Dame his last year.

Hey I hope they do better, it will make the rivalry better.:D

"How bad"??? Was he? :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

In 2006, Notre Dame finished #11 overall. He Finishing the season with 3,426 yards on 289 completions out of 467 attempts for a completion percentage of 61.9% and 7.34 yards-per-attempt. He threw 37 touchdowns to only 7 interceptions! Brady finished the regular season with a passing efficiency rating of 146.65.

Following the 2006 season, Quinn won several awards, including the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Unitas_Golden_Arm_Award"]Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Johnuawardlogo.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d8/Johnuawardlogo.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@en/d/d8/Johnuawardlogo.jpg[/ame] for the best college quarterback in the nation and the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell_Award"]Maxwell Award - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] for the best college football player.

But if stats and awards aren't your thing, the one thing that shows truly how great Quinn was in College is how quickly Notre Dame flopped after they lost Quinn to the NFL. Without him, they've been atrocious. With him, at least they had a fighting chance.

I thought he got killed in the bowl game, maybe I was thinking of someone else.

They're called Browns Backers. We are die-hard, passionate, loyal and rowdy as hell!

HERE WE GO BROWNIES, HERE WE GO! WOOOFF WOOOOF!!!!:D

When the Lions play the Browns, the verbal smackdown between Wozniak and HD will be the message board equivalent of the 1985 Hagler-Hearns fight.

NFL Network Picks up Gruden

gruden.jpg

Recently-fired Tampa Bay Bucs coach Jon Gruden has a temporary job, and it could turn into a full-time job. Gruden will serve as analyst on the NFL Network's coverage of the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis later this week.

Gruden will join the network's Total Access show each night at 7 p.m. from Thursday through Monday, and also offer analysis specifically about quarterbacks and wide receivers throughout the weekend.

"We just think he's going to have an interesting perspective because he is so passionate about the combine, the draft and building a football team,'' NFL Network executive producer Eric Weinberger said. "He doesn't seem like a guy who is going to hold back and he will be able to fully evaluate the process.''

Holmes fined $10,000 for Super Bowl TD celebration

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Santonio Holmes' last-minute touchdown catch won the Super Bowl for the Pittsburgh Steelers. It cost him 10 grand, too.

The NFL fined Holmes $10,000 for using the football as a prop during his post-catch celebration, which came well after the play ended. Holmes, impersonating NBA star LeBron James' pregame ritual of tossing powder into the air, shook the football and tossed it after his 6-yard scoring catch with 35 seconds sealed Pittsburgh's 27-23 victory.

The Steelers were not penalized for excessive celebration, apparently because the officials were getting ready for the point-after attempt and did not see Holmes' display in the corner of the end zone.

Two weeks ago, NFL vice president of officiating Mike Pereira said the celebration should have drawn a 15-yard penalty on the following kickoff. Such penalties result in an automatic $10,000 fine.

However, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said before the Pro Bowl that the NFL competition committee may consider making such celebrations legal if they occur long after a play ends.

``As you know, part of this rule is to avoid having a reaction from opposing players and, from what I could see, only seeing it once, it didn't seem like it was anywhere near that,'' Goodell said.

Holmes auctioned off the gloves he wore during the catch for $70,200, but that money will be donated to charity.

The NFL Network first reported the Holmes fine

What would I have to stand on? This would be like a one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest.

"We're the best 0-16 team in the NFL"

"Matt Millen left us with more young talent than anybody in the league!"

"Starting QB? We got 5 of them!"

"Our defense could shut down any high school in the country!" (OK, that one is a stretch.)

"We serve better hot dogs!"

"We'll hold you to only 35 pts. 37 if there is a safety."

"Our mascot's better than yours!"

"We're leading the league in TV blackouts!"

And finally-

"May the Schwartz be with you!"

Now back to the Yinzer/Cleveland thing. It was more interesting.
