NFL 2008-09 Season

Good GOD, this is ugly AND disappointing. They look terrible. NOT a good way to start.....And the worst part is not that Denver does not have better team, player wise than Oakland.....Kiffin is being taken to school by the Shanahan....he is 2 steps ahead on EVERY play. Totally out coached.:(

Cut him some slack. Whenever they showed Kiffin I kept thinking that Al Davis was on the other end of the headset. It's hard to be a good coach when some 80 year old man in a track suit with lots of gawdy jewlery is micromanaging every thing you do.

No...It was that ass**** Callahan!! I hate his guts more than any other coach....but I will not deny the fact that he a very good coach and gets MORE out of his players and most coaches in the NFL. And he ALWAYS has had it for Al Davis and always coaches a little extra to be the Raiders.

I thought you hated Dusty Baker more than any other coach.

The Raiders ... are who we THOUGHT they were.

But don't fool yourself to think the Broncos are who you THINK THEY ARE.

I love my Raiders, but I am also realistic enough to think they are not good yet. So beating my Raiders is no big accomplishment. IF they beat better teams on the road....they you might have something.

I'll have to disagree Salsa. After seeing Jay Cutler torch that very talented secondary (DeAngelo Hall & Nnamdi Asomugha) for 300 yards and 2 TD's at a hostile Raider Stadium, I was quite impressed.

Denver may actually be better than we thought they were.

Then if we go by what YOU YOURSELF just said....then your Brown suck...!

By the way, they threw only 3 times Asomugha last night....that's it. The plan was to go after DeAngelo...and they did and they did alot. What was most impressive was the offensive line and how Shanahan was 2 steps of the ENTIRE Raiders coaching staff ALL NIGHT.

No, actually the Browns have an awful secondary. I already noted this. Plus, Romo is in a class of his own already. The torching by Dallas was not a huge surprise.

Why are you flipping the script Salsa? Clearly the Raiders took the crown this week away from my Browns for biggest whooping during week 1. ;)

I am not flipping the script at all. There is no doubt, that my Raiders laid a huge egg yesterday. BUT, truth be told, it was not JUST Romo that beat you, they also ran the ball for 170 yards on the Brown defense.

But, one game does not make a season. BOTH teams expected ALOT out of our initial games, let's hope both recoup.:up

I am not denying that either. The ENTIRE Browns defense is suspect (with the exception of Shaun Rogers), especially their secondary.

My original point is that I found the Broncos aerial assault particularly surprising because I thought their secondary should've been much better than that.

Either way, it's too early to make conclusions on ANY team after week 1.
