Hello guys just moved into a new place tech installed 1 hopper and 2 joeys now there is solo switch he also installed now heres my question can i run another line straight from the lnbf from the dish to my current fta box i have thanks.Also my dish is pointing to 61.5W, 72.7W, and 77W thanks. Following picture below is the switch the tech installed.

FTA = Free To Air. I don't think what OP is trying will work. FTA are not loaded with Dish's encryption.
FTA Boxes were used a long time ago and still used sometimes to do things we are not allowed to talk about with dish's signal. They call it black Friday though or something like that the day Dish went dark, The day dish killed FTA. I think I'm allowed to say that if not someone please delete this comment.

Everyone thats played the satellite game long enough knows what I mean if you are pointing an FTA receiver at an Echostar satellite then you are doing something you shouldn't be. People don't point it there to watch channel 101. Or the other few unencrypted channels. You know back in the day I was like "Oh who cares its just a few people it doesn't matter" as I got older now I'm like I have to pay a fortune for my TV if you can't pay then don't play.

Just ask the guy down the street from me with the Big handpainted sign saying Free Satellite Dish.. NO BILL.. If I had some one to report this joker too, I would have them cart him away.. But don't think for a moment that Dish has stopped Piracy..
Plus the voltage coming from the node could probably fry a FTA box.

I would call the dish signal integrity team and tell them, I mean heck I had to talk to them to get over 6 boxs in my house. Those people can zoom in on anything. They were like nice front door.
Ok apparently they are dish networks security department. When I got my system there was a small problem, one day the dish n it up promotion was there the next it was gone. Something due to the amount of receivers on my account well I got shipped to signal integrity, really nice people but they are the people that deal with piracy of dish network. And they mean buissness they look at pictures of your house from space and everything to warrant three hoppers. I know alot of people just get a regular csr to do it but I got shipped to signal integrity and they don't play around. Dish has a site for this and if you turn this person in and they successfully prosecute them its a $50,000 reward.

I initially had 2H/2J installed by Dish, bought the third and hooked it up. Maybe since it's less than 6 receivers they won't bug me. I also have all of the receivers (including the Joeys) connected to the Internet. Did you have all of yours connected to the Internet as well?

I had to purchase the third hopper but I wanted them to pay for the install so I had to move haven and earth to get it done. That's why all the departments I had to go thru. You just have to get all of your ducks lined up in a row and everything. Dish will do most things as long as you follow their procedures. I didn't have to pay for anything at all. Except buying the third hopper. Now on the other hand I pay a lot of money for programing, I have everything dish has to offer except porn channels so my account may warrant such privileges I don't know know how they rate who gets what. I do know I am or was a 5 star customer.
