need local channels

im renew to dish had dish in 2004. went to cable and am back now. they say i need a waiver to get local channels from my local networks. i cant get local channels on antenna and just need help to get sd channels in fortuna ca

Follow the waiver procedure DISH will do most of the work you just request the waivers through them.

Dish cant do waivers and they cant sell you distants...sadly you are in the one market in California that Dish doesnt carry locals in (Eureka, CA)

unless you "move" to a neighboring market (Chico or maybe San Fran) you're kinda SOL

You can move right now if you want. It isn't closely policed or at least hasn't been in the past.

so piercy is 60 mi south of fortuna and i have an office there. one of my co workers gets his locals from this town. do i have to change anything in the programming if i "move" to this town

Just change the service address and subscribe to the locals package.

i shouldnt have any problem with the feed with that distance. they will not question me adding the local package

nah. Just "move" and then ask "so what local networks do I get" and they'll qualify you and add them

thank you for all your help with this issue i dont see service address on my account. do i ask the online chat person to change service address and then after that ask her if i get locals and have her add them cuz i couldnt add them inmy account?

so i did online chat and the rep veronica said my service address has been changed to piercy ca but when i asked her to add local channels she said i didnt qualify.i checked th address online and it said i qualified for san fran channels,what gives?

I can't help with "moving" but I still get all american direct.com (no DISH) which is seemless
on my older dish receiver - have 3/4 networks for 10 bucks a month now.

Try another CSR. That one might have been confusing your old and new addresses.
