Local PBS stations on Prime

I find this interesting because they will carry local stations. It says 150 stations, which I will guess hits a lot of the country.

PBS linear feeds are already available in the PBS app. You can watch your local PBS there for free. The stations you receive are based on IP address location.

Using the IP address is a problem for me. Spectrum says I'm in Albany, NY, Verizon says I'm in Syracuse, NY, and AT&T says I'm in NYC.

Using a VPN is a workaround, I set my location to Los Angeles and it gives me a choice of 3 local PBS nets.

I doubt it. It will likely depend on which device you're using to watch. Streamers like Roku can only identify your location by IP. Phones can use GPS to set your location. PC's are a mixed bag.
