Can someone please tell me what I need to get this up and running?I have a Dish 500 with a DP plus lnb and DP301 receiver.I can lock on to 119(I'm able to get 119 channels) and 110 has signal but will not lock.Do I need a switch of some sort?The lnb is the one that has 2 outputs and 1 input.

Check your skew.
And look toward replacing that 301 in the not too distant future. It is not 8PSK capable and I don't think Dish will activate them anymore (so keep using it, don't deactivate it).

sounds like you're not aimed properly then. Sounds like the 110 LNB (which if standing behind the dish looking at the eyeballs is on the right) is being used to aim at 119.
You need to move the dish a little bit east (to the left...again if standing behind the dish)

I have changed to skew and elevation but still nothing.When I have signal on 119 and change it to 110 it's telling me that 119 is not locked.
How so?
OP says he has 500 dish with DPP Twin. If you run a check switch on a DPP Twin it comes up with three possible sat locations (2 integrated, 1 external).
So what was your question?
Why can Dish not substitute channels with others from the same network during disputes?
