yep, just saw the same, then saw a guide / timer/ dvr message updating as well, smaller box mid lower screen..
looks like 344 was updated dated 7/6 but not sure if related..

This is what happens after the receiver loses the signal and has to reacquire the Sats. If it's stuck, run a manual check switch
It wasn't stuck but it was my 1st time seeing it. Thanks for the TIP.
I also got the Guide update but not the rest of what you saw.
I'm currently watching 4 programs (Multi-View) it's the best reception/clarity I've ever had???
Wife saw the same thing this morning when she fired up our Hopper 3. She just let her finish doing the switch check. Our Hopper 3 Plus started up normal. All's good both Hoppers.
strange for sure, have had the h3 since day 1ish and have never seen it before like that...
I have seen your picture, and others like it, but this was lighter , transparent, and bottom middle... (didn't think to take a picture, due to morning brain not fed any coffee yet.. lol) could have been a guide update with a signal watching a live show..

This is an auto check switch that was in software for the removal of 129.
